Frustrated & Stressed..no longer a future DC bride :(

Recommended Posts

Based on everything I have seen on Moon Palaces website, and some reviews I have read, as well as some of the things I have heard personally about weddings there, both Moon and Dreams are very comparable. It seems like Moon is a little more expensive, but if your budget isn't a HUGE issue, I would definitely check them out. They almost appear more luxurious as opposed to Dreams who is more service oriented. A friend of mine had their wedding there and they loved it!!

I know that it is scary not knowing out of experience what the reosrt holds for you, but keep this in mind... If you go with the "Im on the lookout" attitude, something will go wrong. No matter where you stay. Nothing is ever 100% perfect. Where ever you decide on, there is always a chance... you just have to make a good decision and try to stick to it.

I know its hard, we changed our local 3 times! :)

Sorry to hear about your plans! But thank goodness you have time to replan now. Just remember - people will always have something bad to say about EVERYWHERE you stay! I know what you mean though - once DH mind is made up that is it!! Anyways we got married at the Moon Palace in Cancun and from what I have heard it is a lot like dreams. It is bigger but they split it up into 2 sides and so you can book your guests all on one side and then it doesn't seem so big. Seriously we ran into our guests everywhere! And they have a gazebo actually 3 gazebos overlooking the ocean and you can have a private reception - sometimes free depending on how many people you book. Anyways just a thought - if you have any questions feel free to PM me! Good Luck!

Thanks for forwarding me to your post. Funny that your FH started the research, mine is getting into the process too and is realizing the difficulty. I feel like every time we get to a spot where we are ready to send in our deposit, another added charge is noticed. We really like the Palladium but they are charging us for the ceremony, extra $20/pp over 8 for the ceremony, then $45-55 pp for a private reception. This seems like a bit of double dipping since our guests are all staying at the resort AI. Also, having challenges getting a room block set up. They want us to pay them, then collect the $ from our guests. This is tacky and makes it much more difficult. Let me know if how your search is going! Thanks!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
