My cat's a snob- she won't eat chicken

Recommended Posts

I'm a bad kitty mommy. I forgot to get my cat food at the store today. So, I felt really bad that she has to wait intil tomorrow to eat, so I tried to give her some rotisserie chicken (what cat wouldn't love that, right?). She turned her nose up to it! What a snob! So, I gave the chicken to the dogs- they weren't snobs about it.

Inever give my pets people food (although I hear rice and boiled chicken is pretty good for them?) so I don't know what my cat would do. She has been home alone with meat defrosting in the sink and hasn't bothered it.

But, my mom's cat ate part of a Thanksgiving turkey that was defrosting. Needless to say we went out to eat that Turkey Day!

I am just rambling....I worked on my thesis for over 7 hours today. Just ignore me. flypig.gif

Ha, my cats would LOVE if I gave them chicken- too bad they have to eat the prescription cat food that costs and arm and a leg from the vet! One of my kitties had bladder stones and after a majorly expensive surgery I had to switch foods. Better to pay for the food than another surgery. Oh well, I'm off track now... home alone watching Harry Potter all night will do that. I need human contact! lol Just me and the cats cuz FI is in NC for the weekend. sad.gif Atleast I didn't have to work on a thesis tho- I feel for you Martha. Doesn't sound like a fun time...

My dad's friend's 2 cats - one of them - would seriously eat ANYTHING... the one cat, Binder, would meow her a** off even if I was cutting up lettuce. I mean, seriously!

Do you have any tuna? I don't think I've ever heard of a cat refusing tuna. :)

On the other hand, our dog Cubby is a picky little brat. I bought this huge bag of dog treats that look a lot like Milkbones, but are healthier and have real chicken in them. He has started turning up his nose at them. wtf.gif I mean, eat, for god's sake! LOL!

Don't feel bad - my cats are snobs as well. I always think I'm giving them a great "treat" when I offer them chicken, tuna, salmon, halibut, etc, but they always sniff it, maybe give it a quick lick, and walk away. They actually won't even eat wet cat food unless it's the really fine kind. They'll just lick the sauce off of the chunky type.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
