Help! Bangs issues!

Recommended Posts

I have searched and searched and can't find any wedding hair ideas that would work with my hair! I'm turning to you guys for help/opinions.

The biggest problem is that I have very thick bangs. I love my hair...I love the look...but I just dont know what to do for the wedding. I considered growing out my bangs but my FI didn't like it...it wasn't "me"...So I have decided to grow out my hair, but I really hate growing it out. My hair is thin and it just feel really scraggly and ungroomed. lol.

I am so tempted to cut it how it was before and just wear it down for the wedding....but then I dont know how I could put a flower in it.

What do you guys think? Should I cut it and keep it short or keep growing it out and wear it up and have the thick bangs in the front?

Here are pics of how my hair used to look and what it looks like now that I am growing it out.

No! Don't cut it....especially is they are "you!" All I think you need to do is wear your hair like you normally would and just get a hair flower and wear it on one side of your head. That's all I am doing (except I don't have bangs)!

If you love your bangs, keep them! I would talk to your hairdresser about thoughts for wedding hair... They will probably have some really good ideas for you, and will help you decide whether or not to grow it out.

EXACTLY!!!! I have naturally curly hair but live in Colorado so I can straiten it most everyday. However, in Mexico it's going to be really really curly. I've been wearing my hair "natural" a lot lately, and my FI absolutely LOVES it. I say go with what's YOU, and with what is most natural. You don't want to look at your wedding pics and go OMG who the hell is that? :) You will look beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think your current haircut is awesome. My bridesmaid has shorter hair than you do and she was able to get an "updo" for the wedding we were both in last December and the stylist was able to make it appear she had long hair. I was really beautiful. I think this updo is really pretty and would work for you (you could add a flower to make it more tropical):

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
