I've been doing kickboxing and jujitsu for the past few years. The absolute best exercise ever!!! Stick to it and you'll find not only will you tone up but you will also become very confident. Push yourself as hard as you can and don't worry about the instructor, as long as you're trying your best they won't be too hard on you. Give yourself a couple weeks and you'll find the pain will go away and everything will get a lot easier.
Drink a lot of water and make sure you get lots of sleep!!!

I'd like to try kickboxing .. but I have to wait until a new class starts up. Another few weeks. But hopefully I'll have progressed in my 'fitness mode' soI won't die in that class! I've heard it will totally kick your ass!!!
