Thanks!!
Hi Thomasjsgirl

I will be in Punta Cana (Ocean Blue and Majestic Colonial) between Nov. 15 to Nov. 29 for shooting 3 weddings on:
- November 19
- November 25
-November 26

The 3 brides share the cost of my travel... I you want and they want I could maybe shoot another wedding..

If you are interest I could put you in contact with them

just a friendly heads up brides and no offense to any photogs willing because i have been there, any photog willing to do more than two weddings in a week will be burnt out, unless they have supernatural powers! that can reflect in your images. as a photog, i know its tempting to take all the jobs in the world but from experience, its just almost too much to do even 3-4 weddings a month...in my own town! its much more exausting with travel and shooting on the beach.

try to look at it this way, imagine if you were an artist that painted images, oil painter, musician, whatever....there comes time when you need to step away and get rest to be inspired again. creativity can be comprimised if taking on too much of a load. like when rockstars let out a really great album and then a crappy one just after...they rushed it:) ok, i'll shut up now:) i hope it makes sense though because it is very true.

That's a cool idea, I would probably be willing to do such a thing. But Kristie makes a great point. I'm beat after a full-day wedding. Most of my bookings are 8-12 hours and I'm wiped the next day. If I could get a non-traveling day in between two destination weddings, I think that would be ok.

Lol I know that you speak about me lol it's ok! :)

For myself... I know that i performe on the rush.... it's no my first wedding... I have shoot more than 100 wedding since 6 years. :)

Other things need to be considered:

Different people = differente culture = differente needs = personnal pictures
Different hotel = diffente background = differente view = differente pictures

For these 3 wedding I stay 2 weeks in Punta Cana.... and these 3 wedding are for people around the Canada.. with different culture (chinese/arabic, french canadian, english canadian) and at 2 differentes hotels. :)

well, if you look at a lot of the experienced photogs out there, they mention that they only take 4 weddings a month on their site for this reason, no matter where they are from. even though ive quoted brides for this situation (on the high side so i didnt book them), i dont think its very smart to go with over 2 in one week. anymore DW weddings in one week, i think is asking for burn out. im sorry if i read your thread wrong, i thought you were shooting for 4 weddings in one week. ive shot around 100 in 3 years so i know rushed...thats why the warning. you are probably just one of those with supernatural powers:) just kidding, i know its possible to do this but i just wanted to mention it because its a popular thing to try to do on the forum but in my opinion could end up with an unhappy bride.

just another thing a bride may want to consider, especially if she is the 3rd or 4th wedding of the week for one photog.

your work is beautiful, im sure youve got it under control, sorry for butting in.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
