Glenda's wedding (nrvsbride)

Recommended Posts

you look absolutely fabulous!!!

& your story reminds me a little of sex and the city. what did carrie say about charlotte having the perfect wedding and a terrible marriage? i think a "drama filled" wedding may be lead to the perfect marriage.

you def. pulled it off perfectly! great work.

Okay you win for best wedding story - your ceremony was pushed back because of a funeral, during which your priest had a heart attack, and they had to find a back-up priest to perform your ceremony? LMAO!!!

I'm glad you have a sense of humor and didn't go all bridezilla over that, and the other hiccups. Once again you were gorgeous and I'm glad you got to have your wedding with a side of cupcakes pinkie.gif

Wow Glenda seems like you had an eventful day, lol. But despite all the snafus along the way you seemed to take it all in with grace and a great attitude. What an unforgettable start to your union, but you're right in the end you and DH are married and of course that's all that really matters smile159.gif

You looked absolutely gorgeous by the way, and I loved both your dresses especially the one for the reception celebration. You looked amazing!!! Congrats to you and your hubbie ~ and many blessings for lots of love and happiness in the future!!!!!

Thank you so much girls for all your wondeful comments! We've been talking to friends and none of them had any idea that all this drama was unfolding. LOL. And they said they had a great time at the reception b/c it was so casual and relaxed.

On a funnier note my friend made me a "Citizen of the year award" (its a blue ribbon badge) for having a good attitude on my wedding. LOL. I thought that was so funny. Everyone kept saying that if all this would have happened to them they would have gone all Bridezilla on everyone. I just kept laughing the entire time b/c it was soooo funny and too ridiculous. It really felt like I was starring in a romantic comedy. (Well now that I think of it, the funeral and heart attack part were not funny but you guys know what I mean)

AAAAhhhhh I missed this! You looked gorgeous Glenda! smile159.gif

That dress was really beautiful...and excuse me, you did not look pregnant...you looked fantastic. I love your white juicy suit....so cute! I love all of the random mishaps and funny moments. For all that could have been disasterous...it sounds like it was pretty amazing. I love the pic of you in the blue dress giving the stink eye to the bartender! smile120.gif

I'm so glad you pulled it all off and had a wonderful time. I'm dying for some cupcakes now.....it all looked beautiful! Dang...we are married ladies now....crazy!!! smile159.gif

OMG I totally forgot to mention that I woke up with a stye (sp?) in my left eye that morning. Haha. I was freaking out! I bought stye out at CVS and applied it and it was gone by the end of the day. I think I was getting it from lack of sleep. I hadn't slept for weeks prior to the wedding since I was staying up so late to get stuff done. But luckily you couldn't see it and it went away. I just thought it was funny that of course I had more drama.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
