Hi Ladies,

Does anyone have info about the beach permits for weddings? I spoke to someone a while ago and they said you didn't need one, now I'm hearing you due in fact need a permit.

Hi all! I believe you do in fact now need a permit for any beach wedding. The coordinator I am working with, when I recently talked to her, said she has been busy organizing many of them last minute due to law changes. When I checked out the government page I believe it said the change takes effect in August. I would presume you would apply through the government...maybe the park district or something, but I really don't know for sure. If I hear more I'll be sure to let you know!! Good luck!

ive been hearing since i started this job that you need permits on san diego beaches for pro pics anyway...the dollar amount of 1,000 has crossed my path even if its only an engagement session or any pro pics. im not sure of the real amount though, ive gotten away with my sessions because i dont make a big deal in front of people. its also true for pro pics/e-session pics on any private property like a hotel, they want you to buy a permit for the session and its not too cheap i hear. even store fronts on a public street dont want you taking pics out front.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
