Simistar: I'm not sure about Canada but in the us they didn't charge me just told me when I made the appointment that there is a $50 purchase required. I spent way over that, no problem.

As for diets, I'm doing South Beach. Almost done with Phase 1, will be done with phase 2 by wedding. I've lost 5 lbs since the 3rd of this month.

Thanks, Simistar!!!

As for diets... I tried to do a cleanse... I'm a flunk out! I can't do it! I need to eat more substance than that! So now I'm really on no diet. I wish I was. I dont do well with them. I'm trying to eat healthy though and I've been mostly substituting a protein shake for my dinner instead of a big meal. I've lost a few lbs that way and am able to maintain it. Once i'm an old married woman and actually eat a substantive dinner again I'm sure I'll be back up 5-8 lbs!! I think I'm going to try a cleanse one more time the week before I go to lose a few more lbs and give myself a little wiggle room for guacamole and margaritas the few days before my wedding!!

So my sister sent me an email today asking me if I wanted to take part in a bootcamp... smile41.gif It's for women and it runs Mon-Fri every morning from 6-7am. That would mean getting up at 5am. Brutal!

However, at this point, I think it may be the only chance I've got... they've agreed to let us do the 3 day a week option (in terms of cost), but attend 4 days a week because we'd only be able to attend 3 of the 4 week course (going to Mexico the 4th week).

I'm being a chicken about it!

Oh and without further ado, let me post some pics of some stuff i"ve been working on...

My OOT bags... I have about 10 more to make. I may need to purchase more of the iron on transfer paper. And I'm waiting for another shipment of bags from OTC:

Our pre-wedding brochures. Most are in the mail - last few are going out tomorrow morning!

And our programs that I just made a few days ago. I went downstairs to spray glue them and when I opened the bottle, I noticed it was missing the nozzle! Gotta go back to michael's and return it frown.gif

Hope these are not too big... elefant.gif

I KNOW YOU FEEL!!! :-)
Actually, the cleanse my FI and I did wasn't a ture cleanse, like only drinking cayenne pepper and water (like Kelly on The Office, haha)...
We did a protein shake thing for breakfast and dinner, and then had only a small lunch, like a salad with some chicken...
So, no sugar, no starchy white carbs...
We did that for a month (and man was it hard!!)...now we're doing a shake for breakfast, a small lunch, and small dinner...still no sugar and no starchy white carbs....

I think if I was keeping up with my fitness routine more, I'd have lost more:-)

OMG -- I did a bootcamp earlier this year (before we got engaged)...it was actually a "cardio kickboxing" bootcamp...and it was possibly the hardest fitness thing I've ever done!!! After the first class, I think I was sore for like three days:-) BUT, it got easier, and it I felt great after....

On a whole other note...your stuff looks really good! The brochure you did up is very professional looking!

I don't know how you did that. I can't stop cramming chocolate stuff in my mouth these days. I think I'm getting nervous... LOL!

BTW you look really fit and slim in your profile pic. Do you feel better since doing the cleanse? Did it give you more energy?

I'm not going to do the bootcamp after all. I'm happy with my running program (podcasts). I'm enjoying it. It's every other day and I'm adding on abs and weights too. It's better than nothing and it isn't burning me out too much. I'm so tired all the time, I could never get up at 5am every morning. Maybe in the new year...

Aww...thanks Kevsgirl -- but you haven't seen me naked! smile117.gif
hahahahaha:-)

It has actually given me more energy...though I don't think I'll ever have enough to get through to Mexico:-)

Woohoo!

Our contract is *almost* done. One mini fix and we pay the remaining $$$.

I'm excited about the bouquet that I chose. I hope they make it in a very similar way.

Today I ended up getting up really early for my 2nd fitting. It went really well! My sister came with me and got a lesson in how to do the bustles (there are lots). I walked around a lot and got it taken up so I'm not in too much danger of tripping or falling on my face! You can see the shoes, but I love them. I'm a little worried about walking on the beach, but I'll deal.

The cups weren't sew in yet, but overall it is great. She's also going to take in the sides around the hips so that it's like a trumpet fit (so it flares out halfway down the hip - not as low as a mermaid). After standing in it for an hour it was getting more comfortable too!

I pick it up for good next Wednesday.

OH! And I got her to take the brooch off and I LOVED IT EVEN MORE!!! It's so much more classy and just generally gorgeous.

My sister took pics. I'm hoping she sends them to me asap so I can post!

I also found a gorgeous bracelet today for the wedding. I still need earrings and a necklace.

Phew!

Hey Kevsgirl -- that's exciting you've signed the contract (well, almost:-))...

We've had some MAJOR problems crop up with our resort just this week, so after several e-mails, phone calls to my travel agent, and a long phone conversation with the resort's general manager...I think we've finally sorted things out.

Fingers crosses anyway:-)

PLUS, I'm very sad to say....I have no pictures from my second fitting...b/c my second fitting didn't happen today :-(

I got up early, went to the store and they said their computer didn't show I had an appointment and the seamstress had just left.

Of course, the owner of the store had scheduled me, but not put it in right or something...so I'm not too happy with them:-)

I now have to wait until next weekend....Sigh.

But pics WILL be coming ladies! :-)

How's everyone else doing...? I still feel like I have lots to do even though I'm slowly but surely ticking off my to-do list...

(It's like I tick off one thing, then add two more, haha:-))

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
