Groomsmen attire question??

Recommended Posts

My FI and I went shopping today to look at outfits for him and his groomsmen. We are looking to just get casual linen drawstring pants and a white line short sleeve shirt and found some great sales at Macy's and Kohl's. My question is, are most of you having the groom and groomsmen attire identical?? I said I wanted his to be a bit different, but he wanted them to all be the same. Any ideas would be appreciated. I did look on the sticky forum and saw a lot of great suits, but he definitely doesn't want to wear a suit jacket so how can we set him a part a bit??

My fi and Gm are all wearing natural linen pants that i got at K&G, they are on sale now for $14.99. I ordered linen shirts from weddingtropics.com. Fi's shirts is going to be long sleeved white linen with turqoise embroidery. The gms shirts will be short sleeved with same turqoise embroidery. so basically just the sleeves are differnt. Oh and i'm getting fi's collar embroidered also but not the gms shirts.

We wanted him to look slightly different just so you can tell who the groom is in the pics.

I as going for more of a casual fun look cause our wedding was very small and I know this look is not for everyone but here is what I did. There was orange in the GM shirt that matched the MOH's dress which made for some really cute pictures. I really had no idea what I wanted so they tried on several different things. It turned out the white shirt my husband wore looked best on him (they had it in other colors but they did not look great on his friend) and the print shirt looked great on his friend. Not to mention he can wear it again.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
