Your dress is amazing Rachel! Did you guys jump in the pool the next day? I imagine it wold have been hard to wear at the reception if it was heavy and wet.

I like your idea of buying stuff in Playa.... I might do that too. we are going to go down a week earlier

Hmm...
Jackie,

I have Dulce for my wedding coordinator as well! I feel bad because I email her every week and probably driving her nuts :-).... If you email here about the carriage could you let me know what she says? Also I see you are getting married a month before me so if you do end up getting the carriage let me know how it works out.

They had a garbage pail sized bin full of tons of colors, so I dug through to get as many different ones as possible. I paid $1.50 a pair, and each guest got one, so I only spent $30! (17 guests plus the photographer plus us). Everyone loved them!

As for the programs, I started them just a few weeks before we left and finished them literally the day before. Yazmin (my WC) was able to give me the name of the minister ahead of time, and we had already chosen our locations months ahead. I think the hardest part for me was choosing the readings. I made the programs myself in Microsoft Word, if anyone is interested in the templates...
Thank you Rachel and I was planning on getting the maracas when we get down there. It's good to hear that we wont have a probably finding them! I think it's a cute and easy way to decorate a dinner table (plus it's a gift to our guests) :-)

My guess would be that it drops you off near the top of the stairs where you will enter. Probably close to the same place the golf cart will drop you off. But, I'm sure you could still get some great pictures if this is something you wanted. Here are some pictures of the Coba, family side gazebo so you can get an idea of enterance and the area around it.
On a side note...there are a ton of stairs at ASP. You will constantly be walking up and down stairs...I'm not gonna lie, it was a bit hard for some of the grandparents to deal with. So just throwing that work of caution out there.

Thanks NaM for the pictures and I love the views! Also it's good to know about the stairs since we do have Jamie's grandparents attending. They can get around but might be a little rough walking up and down stairs. Do they have an alternative route for people that are handicap or for older people so they dont have to walk up and down the stairs?

Hello,

Here is Dulce's answer to the carriage.

Horse Drawn Carriage: $136

How long are we in the carriage if we are staying on the adult side but getting married on the family side?

[Dulce Oliva Pazos Hernandez] the carriage is waiting for you in the room , so, when I will pick you up there, the carriage take you around the resort and finally get to the wedding gazebo.

NAM: I'm getting married in the same gazebo as you, do you think the guest could see me arrive in the carriage from where the gazebo is and where the stairs are and the carriage would have to drop me off? I don't want to get the carriage and no one sees me in it. Thanks!

Cristi: hahah, don't feel bad I email Dulce weekly too, I was just telling my fiance...this lady is going to hate me by the time I get down there. :)

Jackie, I'm with you on that.... why spend the money on a carriage ride if no one sees you arrivehuh.gif I guess the only other reason I would get it is to ride with my dad and it would be special. My dad raised me and I'm definitely a daddy's girl :-) ... I guess two reasons: would be great for pictures...

To insert picture you can go to Quick Links then click on edit signature. When you scroll down there should be an option to insert signature picture. As for the url, I had the same issue at first and just went to the signature and deleted the extra letters that are showing up. Hope that makes sense... I'm better at showing vs. telling :-)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
