Not sure about using the credit but I can say that the horse-drawn carriage was so worth it.  Everyone loved it and it looks so cute on the video.  Since my bridal party did a performance down the aisle I got to sit in the carriage with my mom in the shade and just relax and chit chat with her while we waited for them to finish.  It was perfect!!

Funny side note about the carriage:  Might be a little TMI but....I have a SERIOUS sweating problem (overactive sympathetic nervous system thing) so....I brought ice packs (the ones that you pop and they instantly get cold) with me in the carriage ride.  Put it right between my legs under my dress and on my neck...it helped sooooooo much.  Just wanted to share a funny story. embarrest.gif

For those of you considering the dolphin excursion and the photos for it I have a little story about that too.  By no means is this a guarantee for you but one of my guests snuck a picture of the picture on the computer when they are letting you view them.  I didn't go but when she showed it to me it looked like the real thing.  Again, I am not recommending it or saying you will even get this opportunity but I wanted to let you know it might be an option if you just want one shot and don't want to pay for it.  But remember you got to be sneaky!! msnwink.gif

Yikes - sorry to get your hopes up! I had a bridal brain fart - no, you can't use it towards individual services but CAN use it towards the wedding packages! I'm splurging for the horse & carriage and the violinist during the ceremony though. The credits unfortunately don't count towards events (ie. cocktail hr) - our group has more than 75 rm nights, so we qualified for the unlimited private events.

Not sure if you got my email, but in the Wedding Guide packet, on one of the last pages it has the breakdown of credits & what they can be used towards....

You cannot ship items to our resort.  I wouldn't suggest it anyway.

Unfortunately, they do not allow us to ship items to the resort. We are taking the decor/extras down in a suitcase & just sucking up the extra baggage fee - even w/the baggage fee, it's still less than what they charge for the things we're bringing down.

My advice though - keep decor to a minimum - it saves luggage space AND the location is beautiful enough so it needs very little!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
