Does anyone know what the document requirements are that we need to bring down there? The website just says birth certificates, but I thought I read somewhere about an apostille document (which I don't even know what it is...) Anyone know what's required?

Although I am no longer getting married in Mexico we had gotten the Apostille from our state. We had to send our birth certificates to our state capital and they basically attached a paper to them with a notary that confirms they are "real". You of course need your passport and the travelers ID that you get from the airport. Hope this helps.

Hi ladies

I was actually confused about this as well because 6 months ago the website stated that you needed the apostille, but now it does not list that as a requirement. I talked to my WC and she said the law in Mexico changed and you no longer need the apostille document--just the certified birth certificate. That is why they updated it on their website. Hope that helps!

Just wanted to give everyone a heads up that there will be a HUGE business seminar at the resort in early November. The 5-9th. I don't think this will interfere with anything if someone is going down then but it might be a good thing to be aware of.

  • 4 weeks later...

It has been quiet! Partially my fault...I got married a few weeks ago at ASP and haven't gotten around to write my review or post any pictures yet...I'm sorryyyyy

Our photo site is Message. There are a ton of photos to search through...some not so great. We don't have our pro pics back yet so they are just what our guests have uploaded. If you're getting married there you won't be disappointed-we had an amazing time! Enjoy and I promise to get my review up as soon as I can!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
