woot.gif Calling all Aventura future brides!!! woot.gif

I am leaving in 3 days for my wedding at ASP!!!!! I have found that all the information on this site has really helped my decision making for the wedding pretty easy. Since its going to be just me and my fiance we didn't have to go too indepth with planning. Actually we are going with the free package and are just adding a few extras like cake, pics and dvd. And due to our budget everything will be done through the resort.

So because my wedding has been so basic I haven't really been able to answer any questions or offer info about all the extras. So in effort to do my share and help my fellow BDW brides I would like to offer to take pictures/visit different places on the resort that any one may be having questions about. And then once I return share what I have found out!

I have seen and participated in this on a similar thread for Dreams Cancun when I was originally planning my wedding for there. I was having questions about a location I was considering on the resort for my reception. I was finding little info/pics on it and my wedding coordinator was not responding so when I saw one of our brides was offering to take pics and get info I jumped on it! Those pics/info helped a lot. So I am now extending the offer to all of you. Feel free to post your request or PM me!

It sucks for my FI and I because we wanted to have our honeymoon there - but we'll see how it goes!

I actually am so glad to see this information on Aventura Spa allowing kids...Not that I dream of a wedding and honeymoon with kids around but I have this huge dilemma about a special couple in my family who has a 14-year-old son. It's created quite a spark in my family because they won't leave him with anyone and they can't come if they can't bring their son......I am so torn!!! So, is this for sure or just a rumor?
Thanks for the info!!

It's definitely true. Starting in April kids will be allowed on one half of the resort. I'm glad this helps you out! :)

Kellywinter1,

Can you please take pictures of the garden area? I believe that the garden area is available for a private reception and I would like to know if it's nice, secluded, etc. Congratulations! I bet you are so excited! Are you ready?smile29.gif

I will get pictures of the garden area for you. And totally scope out the location and give you all the details I can!

I am so excited to get away with my fiance and experience our wedding day. I think this was the first week that it really hit me that we are really getting married and begining our life together so I have been very emotional. lol So in between my periods of crying (out of joy and happiness) I have been trying to get all our loose ends tied up. The majority of our stuff is packed I just have to organize and make sure we have everything we need. I have a 5 year old so I have also been worrying about making sure she has everything she will need while we are away and she is with my mom and getting all the phone numbers and emergency contacts together. But I think once we make it to the resort all the nerves will melt away and I'll be ready to relax and enjoy our stay. smile03.gif

Did you all see the new packages that Palace Resorts is offering? I looks like their sprucing up their decor...they even added fireworks! The new packages don't include the pedi, mani, massages...stuff like that. I am going to email them to find out what we can do to add some of that decor.huh.gif

Let me know what they say. I'm a little annoyed by this, especially because I can't find the description of my current package now to compare. I want nice colors and fireworks!!

Hi Everyone,

I too am marrying at Aventura in less than 80 days!!!!! So just when I think I have it all planned they go and change the packages. Well I do like that they have decided to offer themed decor for the ceremony & fireworks, being as though i don't want to use their hair and make up services and some of the other stuff in the original package. Just in case anyone would like to compare new to old I have listed info from emails that were sent to me from Dulce (Wedding Coordinator).

Old Superior: gazebo, documents, justice of peace, marriage certificate, folding chairs, 2table top flower arrangements, bouquet and boutonniere, large 1 tier cake, horse drawn, mani & pedi, make up & hair, 25 min massage, 50 min massage 25 min facial bride/groom, 2 bathrobes, Photo A, dvd of ceremony, domestic champagne for guests, dinner reservations, special breakfast in bed, cd player for ceremony, wedding planner, late check out 6pm, honeymoon package $1800.00

Old Deluxe: all of services above, and the wedding dress press service, live music $2,200.00

Hope this helps!

Hi brides!!

Just an FYI, my FI and I are visiting the Adventura Spa/Cove Palace on Saturday!!! I'm so excited. We are trying to make a decision on our wedding resort. We will also be visiting a couple of others.

I plan to take plenty of pics. If you ladies have any questions for the WC, let me know as we will be meeting with her.

I'm so excited. Especially since it is snowing here todayshots.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
