Thanks!!  I'm trying to limit the amount of things I'm taking down, since I'm already taking down all of the stuff to assemble my OOT bags down there!!  I'm going to give my girls their bouquets before we leave so that each of them can be in charge of taking their own.

I really think people wouldn't notice whether you have a lot of decoration on the tables or not, I mean...look where they will be!!! :o)  The sea is decoration enough! haha  I'm probably just going to do a colorful runner and have the girls' bouquets in vases on the tables.  Does anyone know how big the runners should be??  We are going to be in one of the restaurants (probably the steakhouse)

and I don't think there is anything wrong with your flowers differing from the girls!

Another idea for the bags could be some snacks and/or candies. The hotel has fantastic food, but sweeties and salties are hard to come by unless you pay big $ in the gift shop... Some chips or pretzels would have been GREAT after a long night at the disco!

As far as the welcome bags are concerned, I am only going to end up spending around $15-20 per bag.  I was very thrifty about the things I bought, and already have most of the things for them already.  I got bags, t-shirts, pens and notepads all from VistaPrint for free (just paid shipping) to start out.  If you need help coming up with some things, let me know!!

I have heard that there is a Walmart in Play Del Carmen that you can pick up snacks from when you get down there??  That might be nice to do.  I want to do snacks, but I don't know how that would fair with the flight and customs??  Do they allow that?

OMG!!! Girls!!!!!!!!   Our resort was on Say Yes to the Dress last night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I'm watching the recording on my DVR right now, and that is definitely it!!!  Look for the episode Say Yes to they Dress: Big Bliss - "A Wrench in the Works" and it is in the last 5 minutes of the show.  I'm sitting here with my FI and they show the gazebo, and I'm thinking "wow that looks really familiar..then they show her in the room and I go "omg..wait...I think that's our resort"...and then they show the outside again and it was definitely it!  haha, check it out! :o)

I never saw a Walmart, but we really didn't go up to Playa. I definitely saw a Sam's Club on the way to the resort and Walmart's aren't usually far away, lol! The guest relations rep was really helpful too- they'd point you in the direction you need for sure. There is also a taxi stand on site, so it's only a few seconds to catch a cab. Make sure to haggle with them to save a few bucks!

I don't think packaged foods would be any trouble with customs- I think it's just fruits and stuff with issues. I did take three bags of chocolate in my carry on and no one said anything to me about it.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
