Did you find there was tons of wonderful spots to take pictures even though there is no beach?
I LOVED working with Del Sol. My photographers were Sol and Vincent and they brought a second shooter whose name I don't remember. Many guests commented on how efficient they were and the sheer amout of coverage they were capturing...they were seriously all over the place working hard to get as many pictures as possible. It was amazing!
We never asked about the outside vendor policy. In our meeting with Dulce we just told her we didn't need the resort photog because we were bringing our own within the group and then when she asked for daypasses we just listed their names without telling her they were photographers. This wasn't something I was going to let the resort dictate!! lol.
There are many nice places along the resort for photos: there is a waterfall, beach cabanas, cliffs, a little rainforest/temple, etc. We didn't do many "posed shots" I think our formals took maybe 5 minutes and we did them in front of the water. I wanted the day to be captured instead of posing for everything and taking time away from the day;big reason I choose Del Sol, because they are more photojournalistic opposed to "photographers".
I don't think you'll be disappoited if you book them!!!

Hello girls,

I have been working with Dulce (onsite wedding coordinator) and she gave me an alternative to bridesmaid bouquets by using a smaller version of my bouquet for $60 per bouquet. I know that it has been a concern to some palace brides that the maid of honor bouquets are pricey at $115+ so just wanted to let you know there are other options.

This is what I did! But I still thought $60 was too much so we ordered 3 bouquets for 6 bridesmaids and had them delivered early and split them ourselves into a new arrangement. You can also use them as centerpieces after the ceremony because those cost a lot also.

Thanks NaM! :-)
Hey there,
i do not know how you feel about artificial flowers. I first said - absolutely NOT... But I definitely changed my mind after I found a lady out of Florida, who did an amazing job with "natural touch" flowers - which I researched thoroughly - they are the most natural looking ones out there. She sent them via mail, very professional and helpful every step of the way. Everyone complimented our bouquets, and had no clue only mine was real. I have some pictures of the bouquets and this lady will work with your budget. I ended up paying $25.00 a bouquet (3 bridesmaids) and the flowers were beautiful. A side note - my REAL bouquet stained my dress...lol...I sincerely regretted not getting a bouquet of my own in "natural touch" after it was all said and done. The girls also got to keep their flowers as a memory/favor...I don't have mine and i had stains on my dress. Final score- Natural Touch: 2 Real flowers:0 :-))

(PM me for photos - the site is asking me to downsize them significantly and you will not see how beautiful the flowers really are)

Raluca, thank you and that is good to know about the real flowers staining your dress. I actually have been looking at possibly doing real touch flowers so I would love to get some info so I will send you a PM.

Thanks for your help!

Hey NAM,

Just booked Del Sol for my wedding in May at Aventura, very excited. Can't wait to see you Del Sol slide show! How long does it take them to put that together?

Also has anyone purchased a DVD of their ceremony at Aventura Spa Palace? If so, how long did it take to get? Were you able to take it home with you right away?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
