Hi ladies,

I'll be sure to ask the questions you posted and take lots of pics. We will be focusing on the Cove side because we will have kids there.

It's really difficult waiting to hear back to confirm things with the resort. But I guess they don't operate on the timing that I'm used to. It will just be nice to get some immediate answers to questions.

2 more days until I board that plane!!!

We had our reception by one of the coves on the north side. We chose not to do the mundaca rooftop becuase it was just way too big. I loved our location. We were right on the ocean and we were away from everything so it felt like it was just us. Below is a picture of the location during the day and at night. Its kind of hard to see at night.

My WC sent me a picture of the inlet...I think we are going to go with that area. Mundaca is way to big...nice...but big! So they set up the lights for you with no extra cost? One of my concerns is not having enough light. Also, you just brought your Ipod dock station right? Obviously there is an outlet for all of that stuff right? What about a restroom, is there one near by? Once I get a drink in me...I have to go...all the time! shots.gif

Ok, I finally booked a photographer! I went with Sascha Gluck! Another bride on the forum used him and her pics were awesome. We booked him for six hours on our wedding day and for two the next day for TTD. His prices are reasonable...compared to what I have seen. I really can't wait to the TTD. He said that he knows of some awesome Cenotes and that he is a cave diver...I think that is what he said...so I am taking that he knows which are the best Cenotes to do the TTD. Yay!smile29.gif

There is no extra cost to set up anything. The tiki torches came in sets of ten. We bought 20 to make a complete circle around the party. They have everything to you need to use your ipod. They even have someone to run the equipment. There are several inlets so im not sure which one you have. There are bathrooms everywhere so that shouldnt be an issue. It did get a little cold but really the only people who noticed where my grandma and her sisters. But I did get married in Feb. so it is alittle colder then too.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
