Hi Ladies

Question..I think I actually prefer the previous packages. Do you know if we signed up in our contract with the previous packages if we can keep them? Or do we have to now pick from these?

Thanks!

Dear taxchick,

How exciting. Please take lots of photos. I plan to get married at ASP in November. Now that the Cove Palace is allowing kids, we have a 14-year-old cousin joining the group of adults and have to perform the ceremony and have the reception on that side...can you jlet me know any details if you scope out the "Cove" area? THANKS a million!! And have fun!!!

Well I emailed Michaelle (which is the lady that we initially worked with when we were signing our contract). From my understanding it is basically one or the other. What ever contract we signed is still in effect. However, if you want the new package you basically upgrade, but you cannot swap items from each package. This is a bummer because I would like to use the new decoration...not sure which is better. I am thinking that our old package is better because of the fact that we get massages, pedi, mani, live music during ceremony (which the mariachi band alone is $500), etc. It's sometimes difficult to get a straight answer. I also asked how much it would be just to get the decor for the wedding and I have not received an answer. If you ladies here anything else please keep me posted. Thanks.

Does anyone know which reception areas allow kids? I have emailed my WC a few times asking her to send us the options for our private reception and she has yet to respond to me.

I have some questions for you ladies that are all ready married...and perhaps you girls that may have found out this info.

How long did it take to get your hair and make-up done?

Do you recommend getting it done early or close to the ceremony? (We are getting married at 6:00).

How was the pedi and mani? Not sure if I am going to get the mani because I am getting my nails done the day before we leave, but then again that is four days before the wedding.

Thank you for your help.

I plan to take plenty of pics. If you ladies have any questions for the WC, let me know as we will be meeting with her.

I'm so excited. Especially since it is snowing here todayshots.gif

Can you find out or get an idea of how much the colored linen and table decor would be, and how much the upgraded flowers are? Thanks...have fun!bunny_4.gif

I am also asking the coordinator about the area that allows kids. She told me that the two sections are the North side (Aventura Spa Palace) that will remain Adults Only, and the South side (Aventura Cove Palace) which is kid friendly. When they sent tme the photos of locations, they had some labeled North and some South. Now, i am just guessing that the ones with "South" in the name are the only kid-friendly ones...does this make sense? I cannot get a straight answer from my WC either...If you want the PDF with locations let me know and I will e-mail it.

Jena0609:

The hair and make up take 45 min each. I started at 1:30 and was done at 3:00 for a 4:00 ceremony.

The manicure and pedicure were nice. I didnt get mine done before we left. I just waited for that one.

I think that the colored napkins were $5 each and a colored table runner is $5 each as well. Im not sure about actual table cloths.

Wow! $5 bucks isn't that bad. Did you have your reception on top of Mundaca's? My WC finally emailed me the picture (which she said that she had all ready reserved it for us), even though I only asked for the pic and not that I wanted to reserve it. It's awesome, but it's big. If it's not you who had their reception there...where did you have it?

Hi,

The Cove side is definitely the old South side going by the photos.

I haven't been on here for a while but have been following the Aventura posts. I got married there is September last - we had the free package, married in the old North Side Gazebo (Aventura Spa side now), got their flowers for the ceremony site (brought my own bouquet & buttonhole), had our meal in Mononahana and used the Resort photographer so if anyone needs any questions answered then just ask!

This is a link to our official photos - http://http://s224.photobucket.com/a...20Photographs/it was raining so most of them were done indoors. I wasnt particularly sure on some of the poses and you can see that in the photos!! All in all though, the photographer was great and if it had been a better day - every other one in the 14 days we were there - then there would have been some better located photographs!! Here is also a link to our unofficial photos - just in case you are REALLY bored!! cheesy.gif http://http://s224.photobucket.com/a...20Photographs/

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
