Ohio Bride--it looks like you had the Mariacho band for your wedding ceremony--did you like it? Also, does anyone know why you only have to pick four songs for the cermony?? I realize the ceremony is short, but with four songs does it play consistently?

Thanks!

the 4 songs are for specific parts of the ceremony. the first one is for your walk down the aisle, the second one is for the signing of the documents (make sure you pick a LONG song, because this takes about 10 minutes, but they will continue to loop it if it's not long enough). The third is for the toast, and the fourth is for your exit as a married couple. during the actual exchange of the vows, there is no music.

gorgeous pics, Ohiobride - congrats!!!

I am very excited to be getting married at ASP next February. I called a few weeks ago to try to book a date, but they said that they weren't booking anything for 2010 until March. I want to thank all you ladies for your great advice and input on photographers, reception spots, and what package to pick. I have heard nothing but great stuff about Aventura and all your pictures are so beautiful.. Yeah !!!

hey all

we are getting married at moon palace, and were planning on moving to le blanc for the 2nd week of our stay, however our ta has a twin centre package set up already with asp...the hotel itself looks gorgeous, however, i'm wondering about the beach situation...I know it is a lagoon directly infront of the resort...but is there any beaches close-by? I don't think i could go a week without some sand, but at the same time, the prices the ta are giving for mp & asp are really great....please help ladies! cheesy.gif

I dont know about Le Blancs beach but the beach at Sun Palace and the other palace resorts has been somewhat ruined. We wanted to go to the beach one day while we were down there at asp. We asked the people at public relations which beach would be worth going to. She said that all of the place beachs have been ruined due to the bad winter they had. ASP was absolutley amazing. We actually booked the five days after the wedding at Sun Palace and we ended up just staying at ASP because we loved it so much.

I am a little worried about the upgrades. We selected the Deluxe Wedding package but when we asked which flowers are part of the package and which are considered the "upgrade" we get the run around. Does anyone know how much extra the flowers and decor are? We're already paying $2200 for the package and I want to get an idea of how much extra everything is going to cost. Thanks for your help.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
