I kind of just told people that this way we could get a free cocktail hour. They were all ok with it so I didnt have to worry about it too much.

jodimichelle: Yes, I just asked her and she said when I buy the day pass just say it is for a guest. She said dont say its for an outside vendor. But once he is there with the pass its fine.

jena0609: I do have a picture. Im not sure how to post on here but if you send me our email I can email it to you. The only thing about it is that it looks really big so we have two places reserved just in case its too big. I can show you pictures of both places if you want. Our photographer is Octavio Montes.

krismcmit: The lady that I was talking to was named Yudelka. As of a couple days ago she does not work there anymore. So your best bet would be to email then a couple more times then try calling.

Kelly...I'm curious to know if you got something different?
Yazmin actually just sent me an email that had file attachments of various pictures that the photographer had taken of weddings at the resort. The website she gave you was what I was really looking for when I asked her who the photographer is and if I could see samples of his work.

Elizabeth Medina (the photographer we used) lives about 4 hours from Aventura Spa Palace. She required a stay at the resort as part of our package.

I never really asked the people at ASP, I just told them from the beginning that one of our guests would be doing our pictures. I figured its easier to ask for forgiveness than for permission =)

Our pro pics should be up soon! can't wait!

ERIN your pictures are BEAUTIFUL! They make me second guess going with the included photographer. I wish someone on here who used them would post their pictures. (I've seen the website, I just want to see someone on here's pictures too). I don't think a photographer is in our budget unfortunately. sad.gif

Hey ladies... i apologize for being so intermittent here. I kind of thought life would slow down once the holidays were over, but January was busier than December and February is looking even worse!!!!

Anyway, I used the resort photographer, and while the quality is probably not as good as some of the pro photographers, it wasn't as big a deal to me and i still thought they were really good. I can't be bothered to try to upload them here (i have never managed to make them work properly!) - but you can go to my wedding website to take a look if it will help you out. You can tell some are really great shots and some are just mediocre... I got enough shots that i thought were really good that it was worth it to me. If you tell the photographer some ideas you would like to try, he is really willing to work with you. If not, you get the "stock" photos. (We liked the idea of the pool balls showing our wedding date. That was actually my husband's idea - and some turned out great, some not so much. Once he figured out what we were going for, they were better and not so out of focus...) We are fairly picky people about those kind of things and we were happy with our resort photog, but it's all about your preferences.

Go to the "Photo Album" page and the album you want is "Wedding - official". These are the ones from the resort photographer. You can also check out the resort photos - i think i took photos of EVERYTHING on the resort property!!!

Hope this helps! Please feel free to PM me if you need anything else!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
