Stamp the bag with your letter, sprinkle the embossing powder over the stamped letter (do one letter at a time through the whole process) then dump the bag over on a piece of paper to get rid of all the excess powder and then take the heat dryer and hold over your stamped letter until it heats up and becomes smooth.  Continue on with all of your letters!  Just make sure that there isn't any excess powder on the bag or when you heat the powder you'll have speckles everywhere.  I use a very small brush around the letters to make sure the area is clear of excess powder.  Practice on a piece of paper first.

Very easy!  Good luck.

Finally heard from my WC last night!  Karime sent me an email last night.  Just need to confirm the details and provide the guest list.  Do any of you guys know how the room nights booked work?  We had some people book through a travel agent and others booked online.  I'm afraid they won't count our online nights booked which will make me really mad!  I mean I'm still bringing business to their resort!

I believe they needed to be booked through your travel agent/group booking number.  If they didn't you probably won't get the room nights allocated to your total.  We made sure everyone booked through our group booking since it really made a difference on the events we were having.  You will have to ask your WC how many nights she shows booked for your group and compare it to all your guests who have booked already.

breebruns -

I had my welcome dinner at the Spa Terrace and loved it.  Since it is for your reception and you have 24 ppl total and the piano only holds 30 that would probably not be enough room to have the buffet, the cake table, dance floor and bar and not be crowded.  I would go for the larger locations to have more room and that way you can setup the rectangular tables in any design you want.

Yeah thats what we were afraid of!!  I know at least my mother in law (go figure!) didn't book through our travel agent but a few people did book after our group contract had already run out so I don't know how that all works.  My fiance is all up in arms over them counting the nights but what can we do right?!

hey lades what are you (or did you) do with your rings before the ceremony? did you wear them, carry them with you, leave them in the room safe?

Did you/do you trust the security of the rooms and safe to leave those super important and expensive rings there?

confused about this!

We're wearing ours on the plane.  My wedding band is not going through security without being attached to my body.  Once we get there I'll put it in the safe in the room.

I know you can't stand the Pandero but...we decided on this area for our after ceremony cocktail hour.  We're going to have fabric banners strung in an x in the center of the beams and then we're going to string paper lanterns between the posts.  I wanted a space that was open that I had the ability to hang lanterns and this was it. (If I go down there and see differently, I may change my mind)

We're having our welcome cocktail private function Wed night before the wedding for 2 hours at the Cover Terrace.  The view is beautiful! And we timed it so we can watch the sun set.

Rooms do have to be booked through your contract booking number.  But keep in mind the bride and groom's room counts towards your room nights!  Even though we have a small party coming we did okay because our room alone gave us 9 room nights!

Talk to your WC and explain the situation. She may be able to throw you a little something.  No harm in asking with puppy dog eyes!

Good luck.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
