I bought them at the Dollar Store, but if you google foldable water bottles you'll find many sites to purchase them from!  I thought they were a great idea.  The resorts usually offer water bottles but this was great because I figured when you're finished with it you can just fold it up and stuff it in your purse.  Also, great to pack for the way home.

I also purchased foldable vases for the cocktail hour to decorate the tables.  They were at the Dollar Store too, and they were two in a pack.

Thanks.  You can purchase all of the materials at Michaels or any craft store.  You'll need rubber stamps in the alphabet.  So  many styles to choose from.  A Versa stamp pad (it's a stamp pad that goes on clear and sticky) Embossing powder (you can get these in any color) and a heat dryer (looks like a small blow dryer)

Stamp the bag with your letter, sprinkle the embossing powder over the stamped letter (do one letter at a time through the whole process) then dump the bag over on a piece of paper to get rid of all the excess powder and then take the heat dryer and hold over your stamped letter until it heats up and becomes smooth.  Continue on with all of your letters!  Just make sure that there isn't any excess powder on the bag or when you heat the powder you'll have speckles everywhere.  I use a very small brush around the letters to make sure the area is clear of excess powder.  Practice on a piece of paper first.

Very easy!  Good luck.

I leave in six days! I haven't got a clue where the time went! So I heard back from the lady who does the tours/spa booking (or at least has been for me) and she said they no longer offer ziplining for sure and from the rest of the email maybe no coba or wet and wild park either....it's going to be fun explaining this to my guests... Maybe we will have to treat them to xplor for ziplining. Also my wedding planner sent me cake flavor choices: vanilla, strawberry, fruit, lemon cheese.  Subject to availability: dutch cheese cake, white chocolate mousse cake with mint, blueberry cake, carrot, dark chocolate mousse cake with raspberry.  Also don't ever pick pandero terrace, we had her take a pic of it to show what it looks like now and it's so desolate and depressing looking (I'm on my phone right now and it won't let me post pics) I will post them after. We are deciding between the piano terrace and the spa terrace (thoughts?) for dinner. We have chosen the Italian buffet. And are still debating a cocktail hour. No DJ, we are just bringing our iPhones and MacBook for the music (bringing speakers for reception, apparently they have a sound system for ceremony that I can hook our iPhones to) Cake we haven't decided on, I'm going to go with my bouquet I really wanted ($120 upgrade for white roses with blue dendrobium orchids). We are also getting a quote to see how much it would cost to rent paper lanterns and have them at either gazebo (spa or terrace). I guess you can plan a wedding in less then a month...but they should tell you that the major planning won't be done until 30 or so days out. At least me on site planner has been nice and easy to work with (minus scaring me about our photographer but not her fault).

Pandero terrace

Spa terrace:

piano terrace:

we have 22 people including us and photographers, which do you prefer? spa holds 70 for buffet and Piano terrace holds 30. we may just decide when we get there! I want rectangular tables so I'll have to see which one we can set that up in!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
