I was lucky enough to have a bridesmaid who is a professional makeup artist and she did my make-up and the eyes on all the girls.  We all looked beautiful.

The spa can do your makeup and hair at the salon if you want them too.

Yes it is officially Hard Rock as of Jan 2012.  I haven't heard much since the official announcement and the vacation share presentation we went to while we were on our honeymoon.  I believe they will start making changes this year.  I really hope all the future brides are not affected much, if at all.  It is such a beautiful place and I hope it doesn't lose its charm.

Question fellow ASP brides - I am doing the Complimentary Package, which comes with the bride's bouquet and groom's bout....

1. If ASP's calla lily bouquet looks nice (pics would be even better) and/or

2. If I bring my own/order from Sharon, will they sub out my bouquet/his bout for a ceremony table arrangement or aisle arrangement?

Thanks! :)

PS. Just got my (Miami based) coordinator assigned - Renee Foreman! Apparently you get your resort coordinator approx. 30 days prior to your wedding date...

J-Me -- I chose the complimentary as well and made mine and my girls' bouquets.  They WILL sub your bouquet out for an alter display -- that is what they did for me!  I don't have the picture on my work computer, but I can post one when I get home!  It was gorgeous...and they brought it over for my reception and then we took it back to the room and enjoyed it for a few days :o)

Just like Jessica said they will sub out the flowers for something else.  I had them make two smaller bouquets for my BMs.  Here are the photos!!

J-me

I looked up Sharon nagassar after you mentioned her because I am also getting flowers out side the resort   And she popped up as SPAMMER and is now blocked from the site...   I guess she created 3 fake bride accounts  to sell herself as a good florist!   Just type her name in the search bar and you can read the warning!!   Just thought that I would give you a heads up :)

MissNikki, I can honestly say that we were not even asked one time about a timeshare! We were just there in December with 24 people in our party and I don't think anyone was 'bugged' about it at all. Not even one person mentioned it to us, which surprised me!!

I have heard that Aventura will be converted to Hard Rock in the Fall of this year...I'm not sure if any changes will be made before then.

They do tell you that your resort wedding coordinator will get in touch with you 30 days prior...lour coordinator did contact us earlier than that (maybe 2 or 3 months before the wedding). The communication beforehand may be a little stressful, but I was totally put at ease when I got there! Our wedding coordinator pulled everything together 2 days before the wedding and it was PERFECT! Just have faith...I know that's easier said than done:)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
