Taryn - seems like a small detail I know, but how many LED lights did you use for each vase? I'm about to order and wasn't sure if one is all that's needed for each or more....

Also, things have been crazy with work lately so catching up on this thread - your wedding was BEAUTIFUL!!! You were a stunning bride and the videos were fun :)

Congrats on being a Mrs and thanks for all your helpful info!

Hi Jamie!  Thanks for the comliments!!

I used only 1 LED light per vase.  It was plenty of light.  If you want more illumination I would recommend mirrors underneath them.  The reflection helps.  I didn't want to bring those with me but I plan on doing something like this for the AHR next month.

Thank you thank you!!!

Honestly I can't think of anything.  It all went so smoothly.  I packed everything I needed and was so organized.  I guess the one thing that many other past brides agree with is PACK LESS.  Even though you want to make sure you have an outfit for every possible day, night, afternoon and special occasion - you will most likely pack way too many things and you won't be able to wear them all.  I did end up bringing way too many dresses.  I thought I'd be wearing one every night but I forgot that one night was the bachelorette, one was the welcome dinner and one was the wedding so there were 3 dresses right there that I forgot to take in to account LOL.  On the honeymoon I re-wore some of my long dresses that I wore previously.  Anyways...pack a little less than you think you will need.  Helps with the luggage weight too!!  :)

Pretty nice.  When it was sunny it was perfect!!  We got a few days of rain - the day before and the day after the wedding.  I got so friggin lucky.  But the days are warm and the nights are breezy but a bit humid.

Perfect - and thanks for the suggestion! I didn't even think about using the mirrors underneath to help illuminate!

Enjoy planning your AHR!

I am getting married on the Cove side on May 26th, 2012, and I am so excited. I feel like everything has been smooth sailing, but I am getting anxious to start planning the details. Yesenia told me I wont be contacted until 3 months before, which puts me in Feb or early March. I know that should enough time, but makes me so nervous!

Congratulations to all of the brides on here, happy planning!!

Congrats on your soon-to-be marriage and for picking such a wonderful location!!

Do not stress about not being in contact with your wedding coordinator.  You can get about 95% of all the info you could possibly need from this thread.  Plus your wedding coordinator may change throughout the planning process so it really doesn't matter too much.  Just have your list of everything you know you want/dont want and be ready to supply it when the time comes.

Good Luck with your planning!!

I do have one question. For your makeup...Did you do your own makeup? Or will the SPA also do your makeup the day of the wedding? Just want to plan accordingly. I am planning on getting my hair/nails done at the SPA and making reservations for myself and bridal party in advance.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
