Thanks Girls for all the help! My WC told me many brides have shipped to the resort but some items did not get there on time :( I guess I will be dragging these things with me... I think what I might to is just buy one huge old suitcase, fill it up with stuff and just leave it all there when I am done. It would be awesome if I could leave t there and one of you Girls could use it. At least it wouldn't all go to waste...

After reading all these comments and suggestions, I sat there thinking about it and said "baby, we need to make an early trip to Mexico to drop off stuff before the wedding" suffice it to say we are haulin it all with us too, lol but I love your idea of leaving stuff for the next bride, I wonder how that would work?

Happy Friday to my fellow ASP/ACP brides!!!

So I am down to 98 days now!!  Things are going pretty good.  Our RSVP date is next week so we will see how many we actually get back.  Still a few major things to do (GM attire, BM dresses, wedding bands) but mostly I just have small stuff that depends on the number of guests.

How is everyone's planning going??

sxcT - Girl I'm right there with you. RSVP date is this week and only my mom and sister/husband have RSVP'd - What is wrong with these people? I have a feeling a few are going to leave it for the last minute. I've gotten alot done over the past few weeks. Just this past week we ordered our bands.

My date is slowly approaching (October 27, 2011).  I think I go before you? right?

How funny!!  We just ordered our bands this weekend too.  FI is getting a custom one made!! (so excited)  That was a huge thing to check off the list.

I also ended up getting my jewelry - CHECK!!!  So glad I have them to bring with me next month when I get to try on my dress.

I just sent out another email letting our guests know that they need to respond by this weekend and they need to reserve their rooms before we release them.  I bet I might get one response out of that LOL!!  So frustrating.

Yes you are before me.  I'm 11/18/11.  Please come back to the board and post a review and pictures as soon as you can.  Can't wait to see some recent reviews and pics!!

Planning is going good! In the process of getting our wedding bands and bridesmaid dresses right now. I've just been doing alot of research online to get ideas and loving hearing others reviews of ASP...it gets me sooo excited!! Still haven't gotten a response back from my WC yet and I emailed her months ago...oh well, I have given up and I will wait until the month before to talk to her. At least I'm getting reviews/pic on here so that I can pick my places basically without even talking to her.

So I can't remember where I read it, BUT did I read somewhere that they did away with the dress code for the specialty restaurants at ASP? Like the long pants, collared shirts, and shoes for men?? I think that would be awesome if they did because not everybody wants to wear those things when they are in Mexico on vacation!! I think it was someone's review that said they had just made the change when they were there that week.

I've been working on my luggage tags, key card tags, and OOT bags lately...using ideas that I got from here of course:)

Hope this will help some of you?

As far as hauling your decor and things there, think about packing carry on's with TSA friendly items and asking your wedding party and family to carry them for you.  That is what we did, and it worked out great!  Every person can take a carry on PLUS a personal item, so even if you ask a couple, I'm sure one of them could take a carry on for you!!

And as for the RSVPs...we got 6 back, and 4 of them were no's.  Only my mom and one of my bridesmaids actually sent the RSVP back.  Everyone assumed if they booked, that was that.  It is so hard not to stress about people not booking in time either, but try hard not to.  People who want to and can be there will be, and those who aren't, well they just aren't.  No one likes to say no to the bride and groom, even though we want them to just give us an answer. :oP

Well ladies, I can only imagine the stress you're going through but as many have mentioned - those who will book, will and those who won't....won't. Course, you'll have to remind me of this when MY rsvp date gets closer! lol

We just booked our honeymoon (Grand Velas, just up the street from ASP) today - yaay! I'm going to pick up my dress this weekend (whoo hoo!) and look at BM dresses. Right now trying to decide between Fernando and MVP for makeup/hair, trying to decide if I want a videographer, deciding if I should go with JSAV (ASP's preferred DJ) or Mannia or Doremixx, etc., and just trying to get in shape for my boudoir present to the FI ;)

I would LOVE to start the OOT bags, favors, etc. but I have NO idea how many ppl will be coming - how are you ladies handling this with the guests that are dragging their feet to book?

Hello Ladies!

So I have 81 days to go.. Time is just flying by...As far as planning...I upgraded to sapphire collection a couple of weeks ago, so that I won't need to worry about the ceremony decor. I still need to : buy FI a wedding band, my jewelry, BM jewelry and their bouquets..., part of my favors just arrived and the other will be here on Thursday so then I will need to put those together. Other than that I need to work on vows still and then itinerary of the extra trips we are going to take. I actually just send out the invitations yesterday with a RSVP date Sep 10th :) These took forever but are absolutely beautiful, so worth the wait...! I honestly feel like I still have lots to do but on the other hand I will have had only 5 months to plan it all... Happy Planning everyone!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
