So if you get a free cocktail party, when will you use it?  I'm excited to have mine on Thursday night as a welcome party...that way we can enjoy it with our guests.

Not sure if I missed this, but did you ever find out any details about using the resort dollars for a limo!?!

I asked her about the fee for private events, about using palace dollars toward the video and toward limo services.

I'll let you all know what she says.

We sent our guests to the lobby bar for drinks while we took pics and it worked out just fine. Nobody was partying or anything, just hanging out until we got there, then we all hung out until dinner. It was nice to have some downtime between the organized events.

One thing to keep in mind - the Spa side lobby bar has snacks but the Cove side lobby bar does not. (Not sure about the Cove side sports bar.) Even though our wedding was at 2pm and most people had eaten lunch, we were all hungry for snacks. I wish we would have bought snack mix in Playa for people to snack on during that time.

Well its nice to know others did this and didn't have a problem with it.  I remember you mentioning the snacks.  I'll have to make a note of that.  :)

Ok ladies...got some quick responsed from Yesenia...and since she was on the ball today, I asked her about the limo too lol

So here is what I found:

Upgrade to ocean view -- approx. $126 a night

Upgarde to concierge level -- $150 a night

She knows nothing of using the resort dollars for a limo, but she said to check with my WC.  On to Wilma!  I'll let you know if I have any success.

I didn't do an "official" cocktail party either. We sent the guests to the lobby bar so that we could take pictures. When we finished, the photog followed us to the lobby and we were able to take photos with guests and have a couple of drinks. From the cocktail party, we went to our reception.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
