My girls and I just made their bouquets last night, and I think they turned out pretty good.  The flowers have been laying around for awhile, so they need a little TLC, but other than that, it worked out fine (and was pretty easy!).  I didn't have enough white lilies for myself, so I will be making my bouquet today after I get back to the store.  But heres a pic so far of what we did yesterday!

Thanks girls!!

Kristyn:  First off, I bought orange and white tiger lilies at the end of spring last year for a super low price at Joann's.  I think for my centerpieces and bouquet flowers together cost me less than $30!!!  So I definitely suggest looking out for sales.  I just bought the extra white lilies I needed for my bouquet at Michaels on sale and they were $.89 for a bunch of 6 flowers!  Can't beat it!

As far as putting them together goes, I just cut the bunches apart, put together the flowers until the arrangement looked nice, and wrapped it with floral tape (AC Moore or any craft store).  Then I wrapped white ribbon down the stem and back up (secured at the top before and after the wrap with a plain silver sewing pin).  Then I took orange ribbon and cris-crossed it down the stems, tying it in the back on the bottom when I was done.  My mom put a little clear elmers glue across the criss-crosses in the back of the bouquet to make sure nothing shifted, and you can't even tell its there.

Honestly, there were pretty easy and extremely inexpensive to do myself.  Just for the bouquets, I can probably estimate that I paid about $20 to get 5 girls bouquets and my bouquet done -- and I had them all done in a matter of a few hours!

Here is an upclose pic of my bouquet (we put white pearl flower accents in mine and made it bigger to stand out from the girls' flowers):

and just in case you're interested :o) -- and also because I feel very accomplished for all we got done yesterday -- we also made the guys' boutonnieres yesterday too!  We just bought a basic boutonniere flower stem at AC Moore for maybe $1 or so, and hot glued white and blue ribbon, the starfish and a bin back on them.

The guys are wearing orange shirts, so they should stand out nicely:

Great job Jessica!!  As I have said before...you are so talented.

(sorry...not trying to take away from your bouquets but was eager to post mine)

I just got my real-touch bouquets in the mail last week.  I've been wanting to post a pic of them but wasn't online all weekend.  I think they look amazing and I am so happy.  I got my bouquet, moh bouquet and grooms bout done with the real touch.  My other two bridesmaids will have real flower bouquets from the resort since I don't need my free bridal bouquet.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
