Wow!!  Hope everything works out with your dress.  Actually I know it will....NO STRESS!!  LOL

However, the dress was not custom cut when it came in. The bridal salon has been great though and they assure me that they can fix it. (keeping fingers crossed) it was too close to the wedding to sent the dress back to the designer and wait for it to come back.

I am going on Wednesday to see the first round of alterations. Hopefully all is well with the dress it is just that be Use it is all lace it makes it really tricky to take it in anywhere much less shorten in since it is all one piece of fabric. Like I said no use worrying about it. One of those things that I can't control. I am more worried about my guests having a great time then I am the dress lol.wink.gif

Love the t-shirt w/ nicknames idea...so cute.  The volleyball tournament sounds fun too.  We just might have to plan something like that.

What happened to your dress?  Is that in another thread?

We just visited Aventura Cove, Beach Palace, and Playacar palace and Aventura was so impressive. We were really leaning toward Beach Palace and we loved the location of Playacar, but our wedding party is larger, so we felt like we would never be able to escape seeing anyone if we were at Beach and Playacar was just in no way nearly as nice as the other 2. Aventura was BEAUTIFUL

I didnt see anyone using floating rafts or anything like that, but they for sure allow them in Playacar Palace. Playacar has a much smaller pool so Im sure theyll allow it at ASP. If Im not mistaken, I think I read that a past bride had a pool party and she had pool balls. This post was probably around Sept or Oct though.

I remember another bride who had bought the inflatable beer pong table for the pool...I'm just not sure if it was a Palace resort bride or another resort. I have read so many threads on here that they all blend together after a while! Anyway, she had a pool beer pong tournament and it sounded like alot of fun!! I would just take the chance that they will let you use it, but thats just my opinioncheesy.gif I know there's volleyball and activities in the pool, so I wouldn't know why not.

So my question for everyone is how long did it take for your wedding coordinator at the resort to contact you? The only person I have been in touch with is Yesenia in the wedding office in Miami. I'm just wondering because the contract we signed says the onsite wedding coordinator will contact you 30 days prior to the wedding. There is NO WAY I am waiting until 30 days before to talk to her!! It sounded like some other girls had contact with theirs much before this, so I'm just trying to figure it out...

Mine was assigned within a few months of signing the contract.  I just started asking some questions about reception sites and what not and Yesenia advised me who my wedding coordinator was and that she would answer them.  :)

How many guests do you have? I have like 15 of them I bought at christmas and did not use. I could check and see if our dollar stores still have them if you would like. I have no idea what the shipping would be.... they are pretty light.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
