I have heard that there is transportation to and from the Palace Resorts.  We will be taking the transportation to Playacar Palace so we can catch the ferry and go to Cozumel the day before the wedding with all of our guests.  Here is the ferry info if anyone else is interested.

Hey ladies!  I also emailed Wilma and asked her about the different liquor that they serve at the resort because I want to do a few signature cocktails at our cocktail party.  For some reason it won't let me upload it here but send me a pm with your email address and I will send it to you if you want it.  I was pleasantly surprised with it!

We took a trip to Playacar, Moon Palace and Cozumel Palace. There is one bus that leaves around 8:50am and it stops at all the resorts. The same bus picks you up also. I think it picks you up around 4:00pm from Playcar. Playacar is very small. They only have one restaurant and a small pool area. The beach is beautiful though! While we were visiting they were shooting this season of the Bad Girls Club, it made our trip that more interesting. ;)

Also, the bus is free and it takes about 15-20min to get to Playacar. They also go to Beach Palace and some other resort I cant remember. If you want to go to Cozumel, there are 2 different ferry companies. I think it was about $6 or so one way. DONT BUY A R/T TICKET! Buy a one way ticket because you wont know which ferry will be taking you back to the mainland. If you buy a R/T ticket with one company, you will have to take that same ferry back and they dont run that often going back to the mainland. I think there is a ferry every hour or every 2 hours going back.

Cozumel Palace is very small also. They dont have a beach, but they are located on the ocean and you can snorkel off the docks they have.

What resorts does the bus stop at?  Just playacar and moon?  Did they have free transportation to Cozumel or did you go there on your own?  I would love to be able to tell my guests about which resorts they can get to for free!

Awesome.  Thanks for the info.  Isn't Moon Palace in Cancun?  Wouldn't it stop at the other Cancun resorts?  (Cancun, Beach, Sun)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
