Thank you so much for the review Nicole!  You have been such a blessing!

I have been so stressed with less then 6 months to go and so little time to plan--- I have been getting so frustrated with Yazmin that I am glad everything went so well with her.  When I met with her on our site visit I loved her and felt we were in good hands but I am a planner/budgeter and not being able to get a hold of her has been stressful.

But you have been wonderful.  So I am going on faith!'

Thanks so much!

How did you get in contact with Yazmin for your site visit. I am planning one in June and would love to meet with someone. Thanks for any suggestions.

Thanks so much! Unless its really important to you, I would not stress about decorating the gazebo at all...the background is gorgeous! and everyone is supposed to be looking at you anyway ;) yes, the Coba gazebo has a red roof, here is the picture I took of it.....

I love how you stuck with the simple and elegant look.  I am trying to think of decorations for the aisle but it looks so beautiful that I don't even think they are needed.

Quick question: Does the Coba gazebo have a red roof now?  I thought it was straw.

You are so lucky to be able to visit the sites, it will put your mind at ease during all your planning...If I could do things again, I wouldve visited the resort and then I wouldnt have stressed about half the things I did ;) As far as the golf goes, that option is available at Aventura...my husband and his groomsmen golfed the morning of our wedding...they come and pick you up at the resort and bring you back, the course is not far away and you can use resort credits to play...the beach is definitely a personal issue...and once you see the places you'll have to weigh how important it is for you...I personally didnt want sand b/c im only 5'2 and I wanted to wear heels :) good luck with everything, cant wait to hear what place you choose, either one will be beautiful!

I will be visiting Moon Palace and Aventura in June 2011, planning on June 2012 wedding. I love everything about Aventura and have read nothing but great reviwes. The biggest issue for me is that I wanted my wedding on the beach and that is not possible at Aventura. And my family loves to play golf. Other than that, I am sold on Aventura. Just not sure how important that is to me. I guess I need to figure that out :-). Hopefully my site visit will make the decision easier. Thanks again for sharing.

No problem! I love that its my chance to help the brides to be...I received so much help from this site so its my time to give back! 6 months is plenty of time and you will get everything done, promise you! As far as Yazmin, we just have to remember that they arent as stressed and crazy as us :) they move at a slower pace and to them theres nothing to worry about b/c they do hundreds of these every year without a problem...so try to relax, she will answer your questions, eventually :) also, if I can help with any thing please let me know...

Thanks Nicole.

Off topic...Wilma just contacted me and introduced herself as my wedding planner...YAY!!!!!

Oh and I tried on dresses this weekend.  That was such a fun and exciting experience.  My main goal was to figure out what style looked and felt the best on me and it was a very successful day.  Now I know exactly what to look for over the next several months.

Happiness to you all!

All you do is contact Yesenia in Miami. I have her e-mail if you need it.  They have a specific site request form.  We saw Aventura Spa/ Wyndham Palace; and Iberostar.  We ended up canceling with Rui Playacar because we were so in love with Aventura.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
