Im so excited for you! My strongest advice is to relax and enjoy it! My fiance and I fought more in the first 3 days there then we have the 3 years we've been dating...we were so worried about making everyone else happy, and we forgot that were the most important two to each other, and the bottom line is no matter how hard you try, someone will not be happy! so take care of yourselves and enjoy it! its so absolutely beautiful there and everyone that works there is amazing! do you have any last minute questions before you leave? You are going to love the Coba gazebo and the Maracas terrace, both great choices!

I am really excited to hear that they will "loan" a suite to the bride to get ready for the wedding.  My locations for ceremony and reception are the same as yours. I am so excited!

Aventura! Aventura! Aventura! sooooo beautiful! I would recommend going to visit both places if you can swing it...it will make your decision so much easier if you saw both places and it would make your planning easier b/c you would be more relaxed after seeing the resort...

I can't think of anything at the moment. Many of my questions were answered through viewing your pictures and reading your review. Thanks for the advice. I will definitely keep that in mind. We have already arranged a pre-wedding couples massage to calm us. Our parents, siblings, and a few friends are the only ones who will be there for the first few days so we plan to relax and take it easy.  I will be sure to let you know if I have any questions.  You have been extremely helpful! Thank you again.

Thanks for the review Nicole! How much did you pay for the calla lillie decorations on the table? I remember seeing another bride do them too and I liked it alot. I was considering maybe adding something in the vases to add a little color. Colored stones or marbles or something? Anyone have any thoughts on how that would look?

They were $90 each...and they were on the table during the ceremony and then Yazmin moved them to the bride & groom table for the reception...I think they were fake, but they looked beautiful so I didnt care...theres certain things you cant control...Yes $90 is ridiculous for fake flowers, but you get good deals on everything else there, so I called it even ;) I wanted it white, to keep the bridal theme...the centerpieces on everyone elses tables were gorgeous and very colorful, those flowers were real, you can see them in my pics...but if you want color theres definitely plenty of choices...flowers is something I wouldnt worry too much about...

Nicole -

I love how you stuck with the simple and elegant look.  I am trying to think of decorations for the aisle but it looks so beautiful that I don't even think they are needed.

Quick question: Does the Coba gazebo have a red roof now?  I thought it was straw.

Nicole,

I will be visiting Moon Palace and Aventura in June 2011, planning on June 2012 wedding. I love everything about Aventura and have read nothing but great reviwes. The biggest issue for me is that I wanted my wedding on the beach and that is not possible at Aventura. And my family loves to play golf. Other than that, I am sold on Aventura. Just not sure how important that is to me. I guess I need to figure that out :-). Hopefully my site visit will make the decision easier. Thanks again for sharing.

Taryn:  If your looking for some ideas, I am just doing orange chair sashes on the end chairs and a personalized aisle runner for my aisle decoration.  I love the idea of keeping it simple too.

MRR16: When in June are you planning your visit?  I will be getting married June 25.

Sounds very pretty and elegant.  I will have turquoise sashes on the chairs and I wanted to use their beige aisle runner but was told you have to rent it.  Really??  Why does every little thing gotta cost something??  Ugh!!  But I am really starting to like the tile in the gazebo just the way it is.  I was thinking of maybe having some vases filled with sea glass or turquoise rocks and some fake flowers along a few of the chairs just to line the aisle a bit.  If I do something like that then I'll have them become the table decorations for the reception.  It all sounds great in my head but actually making it happen and getting it all down there is a whole different story.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
