Why are you going to ditch the paper lanterns?  Is there no where to hang them?  I am thinking because of our numbers that we are are going to have to do our reception at the solarium mundaca and from the looks of it, there is no where to hang lanterns.

I'm starting to worry about the amount of things I have to take down!!  I have seen pictures of someone who hung white paper lanterns from the pandero terrace for the cocktail party and it looked really nice.  I was planning on doing that, but now I'm wondering if its really worth trying to find a place to pack them??? What do you think?  It really would be the only decoration that I'll have for the cocktail party...

That's true, they do fold flat. As far as decorations go, I only need to pack orange satin sashes for the chairs, the aisle runner and small vases for my girl's bouquets (unless the resort will let me use 5!?) -- their flowers are going to be my centerpieces for the dinner, I'm keeping it simple.  The big thing is the OOT bags and contents.

Honestly....I had Dulce as a WC who never answered me for anything....I haven't been told that Wilma is my new WC like most of you have!?  Is Dulce gone officially??  Maybe I should email Wilma??  I haven't reserved anything yet because I've never been answered!

I found lanterns that pack flat....so they shoiuldn't take up too much room in a carry on.  Also, I talked to Yazmin and she said that they will handle putting them up if you bring all the materials that are needed.  (waiting for clarification as to what else she made need ie: extension cords etc.)

I also sent Lily the decor coordinator a message and her quote for hanging lanterns alone was $400.00!!!  Which is totally crazy.

I found them for about 15 bucks a strand online.

Just an FYI.

What was the site you found them on? I couldn't find big lanterns that came in a set so I bought 50 12in lanterns. I also about LED lights for them so I wouldn't have to deal with electricity. I also contaced Lily, she came back with a simlar quote, I passed on it. However I think I am going to go with her and have gold lights on the palms trees near our spot. She wanted $125 for 6 trees.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
