I'm curious about this too.  I am definitely having my cocktail party at the Pandero Terrace but haven't decided what wedding gazebo I want yet.  I don't know how far away everything is?

I just don't want to feel like we are hiking it around the resort all night!

Quick question:

We received a 192 page song list from PSAV.  While my fiance is having a ball going through each and every title I was hoping to streamline the process a little.  Has anyone used any of their DJ and have a name that we can request.  We love to dance so music is very important to us.

We really want to keep the party going and the energy level up.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

This doesnt really answere your questions, but! There is a great thread on here where a lot of girls posted their play lists. I think it's in the entertainment section. I used it to help me create mine. Maybe you can use one as an outline and then cross check with the 20000 DJ page list to make sure they have it.

Wilma Recommended the following location. Also, I am renting DJ equipment for both the Cocktail party and the Dinner/Reception. This way nothing has to be moved and my guests don't have to run around.

I am having Deco Cancun do the set up so it matches the photo.

The sun there is no joke. We were squinting in some of our pictures! You should be okay though. It's not going to be as bright at 5:30 as it was at 4:30.

The resorts are right next to each other but they are huge! If you are taking pictures right after the ceremony, having your guests walk to the cove side for cocktail hour/reception will be no problem. It will probably be a 5-10 minute walk just depending on where you have the reception. It is a lot of walking but once you get to the cocktail/reception you're not going to be leaving again so shouldn't be a big deal. If it is, have them shuttle from Spa to Cove.

We used Michell w/JSAV (something of that sort) which was from the resort. Music was EXTREMELY important to us as well so my husband brought his laptop and they played songs from our wedding playlist. They mixed it up for us which was a great twist. We literally danced all night long!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
