It's going to be windy period bc it is by the water. For my welcome dinner we started it at 6:30-7 at the Maracas Inlet and it was breezy then got really windy. We didn't mind bc we had been dancing and were HOT. At 4-5 the sun is out and shining down like nobodies business. You will want shade for your guest to cool off. My wedding was at 4 and the cocktail hour was right after and thank goodness the Maracas Inlet had umbrellas and huts. Otherwise my guests would have roasted!

Here you go....Notice the palm trees blowing in the back ground in some of the photos. After the welcome dinner we headed to the club and I attached a photo of that too. This is the Maracas Inlet. The Maracas Terrace has concrete instead of sand and has huts and umbrellas.

Thanks for the pics.  So did you choose everything once you got there?  Were there any issues with other weddings going on at the same time so some things were not available for you?  Just curious how it all works once you get there.

And one more thing...how was the disco?  Good music?

You're welcome.

No, Dulce chose for me bc I had 89 guests and there were only a couple of places that would fit my whole party. I did add the welcome dinner the day I left for Mexico.

Our welcome dinner was at the Maracas Inlet, Ceremony- Coba Gazebo, Cocktail hour- Maracas Terrace and our reception was at the Solarium Mundaca

I would give her a call and just ask her how many weddings are planned for your night and ask if changing locations is going to be a problem once you get there. I left on a Wednesday and my wedding was on Friday. I had plenty of time to go over everything w/Dulce. Once I arrived on Wednesday, I dropped my bags off at the room and went straight into a meeting w/Dulce. It lasted about 2 hours and she goes over EVERYTHING. She has a booklet that she goes through page by page...and it seems like it is never ending! This resort is beautiful....don't stress out over the locations. They are all GREAT locations.

Pierna de Cerdo Rostizada translated means- Roasted Pork Leg which is ham.

One thing we did not have problem with was the food. The food was wonderful!

My FI is all about choosing the carribean menu for our reception. Im just wondering is the roased ham like an American ham or is it more like a pernil? The wording is a little confusing. We didnt know if it was poor translation or is it really ham. LOl thanks!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
