Same here...how funny.  He loved the idea of a harpist....but we are still debating on whether or not to have a soloist or just play a CD.

Question:

How did you guys decide which resort to have the wedding at?  I heard you have to choose the wedding and reception location about 60 day prior so how do you decide which resort to put on your STDs, invites, website, etc.

I think I might have to go with the harpest too after all this talk! Sounds wonderful!

Also I was wondering if anyone knew how much it is to upgrade your room and around how much the excursions are. I'm trying to figure out how much we will be able to do with the $1500. I know I want my hair and make up done so that will take up some of it too...

Thanks for your help lilbuddha! Its so nice to get inside info from someone who has already been there!

I just purchased resealable badge holders from another bride on here (you can find them on ebay -- http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-Resealable-Badge-Holder-2-5-8-x-3-3-4-Vertical-/350330274381?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0  and am using wrist coils from Oriental Trading -- http://www.orientaltrading.com/ui/browse/processRequest.do?demandPrefix=11&mode=Browsing&requestURI=processProductsCatalog&xsaleSku=19/156&sku=20/45#BVRRWidgetID

Here is an example of one from a bride on here!  She has a template that I borrowed to make mine! I'm just changing Jamaica to Mexico and adding my own date!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
