Do you wish you would have done the trash the dress? I really want to ,but I just cant see putting an extra 2thousand for that. Well. I most defently can see doing that, but I am not sure i could convience the future hubby.

Thanks for the info on the trio. Maybe we will do that. Did you book that ahead of time or once you were there?

Yeah it was a great surprise. Since there were 2 shooters (opposed to just Vincent and his assistant) they said I got about 500 extra pictures that I normally wouldn't have. It was so cool!!!!

No, I never wanted to do a TTD. It's not really my style and I don't think I would've done anything with pictures like that after the fact kwim? They are gorgeous to look at and I admire the work but meh, just wasn't me. And you're right, for an extra $2k...I could go on vacation again!

Book the trio once we got down there during our meeting with the WC. Actually, that's when I did all my planning...hence the fact that I have no planning thread. :) Took about 2-3 hours and just knocked everything out from food to music, linens to flowers....

It was great, no stress whatsoever!

Our fireworks are inlcuded in our wedding package...otherwise I guess we wouldn't be paying extra for it. We decided that with the photos, DVD, and all the flowers they set up pretty much was close to what we would pay if we did it a la carte. The bonus is that you get the horse drawn carriage and fireworks. We thought of that as a bonus!

Our wedding is June 4, 2010! We're doing the Ruby package. I really like the Amethyst package, it's really pretty. Yeah I never pictured myself coming to my wedding in a buggy, but I think it will be great. I know my dad will love it. We chose ASP because it seemed to offer more (package-wise) than other resorts we were looking at. That and it's adults only.

Nam what roof top patio did you have your reception at . In our contract it said that beach and rooftop patios will cost an extra $12 per person even with the unlimited private functions due to fact that there are no elevators. Would you suggest any other locations for the dinner and reception we are also planning for about 50pp

I don't know if I can remember where they shoot the fireworks. I honestly can't remember them one bit. Maybe they didn't even happenhuh.gif Geez.....

The pool areas close early. We (a large group of us) would usually have drunken hot tub time around 2am...most nights nothing happened and we would just drink and hang out but our last night we got kicked out around 10pm because they said the area was already closed. I would think the beach area might be a better place to have a little gathering but there are no lights down there.

Our reception was on the Mundaca rooftop. The $12 thing wasn't the case during our wedding, must be something new. There is a great area where Raulca had her wedding near the Coba gazebo, right near the water. Not completely private but off away from everything. It looked great!! Her pictures are some pages back if you want to go back and look at her slideshow.

amywuts-the whole resort isn't adults only, they told you that right? 1/2 the resort is family friendly so depending on the locations you pick for events...there may be kids around.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
