    Hi all

Just wondering if anyone has any pics of their beach reception at the ROR as were thinking about this option?

And if you have your free reception dinner at the mammee bay can you still have the beach reception as an extra after your dinner??

    Thanks in advance

thanks for that, the pics are amazing!! exactly how we imagined it

if you dont mind me asking how much was the beach reception, is it alot cheaper without the bbq menu, what about DJ and open bar??

did you ask for the chairs and the flowers from the wedding ceremony to be used at mammee bay, because of all the pics i have seen of mammee bay that is the best i have seen it set up for a wedding!! can you ask for the white linen table cloth or bring your own so many questions!!

        P.S your daughter is gorgeous!!

here is a small beach reception set-up at the Riu that I came across. I took this picture when I was there.

For a beach reception, you could do the dinner on the beach with open bar, tables chairs (and linens i think) for $55 per person. That includes the BBQ menu, and from what I've gathered, if you don't want the BBQ menu (I'm not sure what the other options are, if any) but still want food and your sit down dinner there, it's still the same price.

If you want to do your dinner elsewhere, say the semi-private option at mammee bay, then you could still do your post-dinner reception on the beach. The costs for this are split up by what you want:
$10pp for open bar at the Seagrape, $5pp for tables and chairs, and $150ish/hr for DJ and Bonfire is $150. So you don't get food or anything... It would just be the reception part. (You can also get hors d'hoeuvres and stuff too, and they range in price.)

This is what we are doing. I don't know as much more about the dinner on the beach option though... I REALLY wanted dinner on the beach, but $55pp was too expensive for me with 31+ guests!!

maybe a silly question but where and what is the seagrape, is that just the place where they do the beach reception?

Thanks for all that info, great help! yeah we are the same we have about 25-30 guests and want free meal at mammee bay then onto the beach reception with just open bar, DJ and bonfire

Seagrape is the beach bar. It's right on the beach
We rented the seagrape for our wedding reception. We went there after dinner. 9-11h. We had our own music, we dance in the sand it was so much fun.
It's 10$ per person open bar to have the bartender there.
I think it's 150$ an hour for Dj or 50$ an hour for the speakers
You can also have a bonfire there at a cost
They put table, chair, tikky light

Does anyone think the table and chairs on the beach is necessary for the reception part? Just asking, I have no idea. We just booked the Seagrape, and I know we will all be dancing and drinking, so I just didn't really see that chairs and tables would be necessary.

i like the sound of $50 for the speakers, did you just take your own stereo and CD's?

Was 2 hrs on the beach enough time, or is 11pm the latest you can have it till?

How early can you book the seagrape before wedding as i have read that you better get in there quick as it can get booked up especially in April time?

thanks again to everyone for all your info
