Where to go on my honeymoon

In my opinion, Venice is very romantic after about 5 pm when all of the tourists who aren't staying leave to go to their hotels on the mainland which are much cheaper. Florence was my favorite city in Italy. I've traveled extensively throughout France as well, but my vote is for the Greek Islands. My next trip will be to Santorini and possibly Mykonos. It really depends what you are looking for on a honeymoon, though. If you are looking for unparalleled beauty with a European flair, I vote Santorini. If you are looking for more go, go, go, I'd say Italy.

Kathi I voted for greece because it is beautful and has so much history. My friend just got back from Greece and his pics almost made me want to cry at my desk. I'll see if I can find one, but what's not to love about rich blue seas and beautiful cliffside citieshuh.gif And don;t even get started on the food....I think it's pretty exotic with plenty of beautiful places to stay that are secluded....

i've only been to london & paris on your list. london is so expensive with the value of the dollar being 1/2 a pound. so a personal pizza will cost $20. I loved london, but it was nice to leave because it was getting expensive.

i didn't really care for paris, but we were so rushed while we were there. we only had time to hit up the most touristy places.

I like to travel to small towns. I loved normandy. I've heard the cinque terra in italy is great.

belize is the next place I want to go. or costa rica. There are too many places I need to see.

are you going immediately after your wedding? we were exausted. but, many girls said they got their 2nd wind on the flight somewhere knew. We came home & crashed hard. but I feel renenergized now after being home for 5 days.

I didn't care for Paris either. I've been twice. I didn't like it the first time, but went into the second trip with an open mind and disliked it just as much. Even the Americans living in Paris were rude. Maybe it was just were we were. I don't know.

Belize is fantastic! Truly a gorgeous country. I definitely want to go to Costa Rica too - what an adventure it would be to go through the jungles! I wanted to get married in Costa Rica, but we decided that would be a place more appropriate for just the two of us to visit.

i'm pretty energized on vacations, but i don't know if i could go right to europe from the caribbean... europe imo is not a relaxing vacation. there is so much to see and so much history that you are constantly going. are there any places you are interested in in central/south america? i think that might be more feasible... but it's your honeymoon! it's should be the best vacation ever!

i've lived in london, and been to paris and venice. i agree w/ katrina - not relaxing vacations. venice was romantic, but not where i would pick for a honeymoon. if you want to go to europe and relax, go to costa del sol in spain. my sister and i went to nerja and just lounged at the pool and on the beach for a week. however, there's no point in flying ALL the way to spain for beach when you have it 3 hrs east or west of you.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
