What time is sunset at ROR?

Recommended Posts

I'm getting married on Halloween at ROR at 4 p.m. I read somewhere that the sun sets around 5:30. For all you other ROR fall/winter brides, does that sound about right? I would imagine Christopher or Michael wouldn't even start taking pictures of just us until 4:45 or so (ceremony followed by a bit of mingling). I'm worried it will be dark! I was hoping for some bright blue sky pics as well as some sunset pics. It will be totally dark at Mammee Bay at 6:30. Anyone experienced that?

I was suppose to get married at 4 but it was morel like 4:45 so my pictures were starting to get into the sunset at around 5:30. It won't be dark. I think you'll get your blue pictures and then some beautiful sunset pictures. And yes it'll be dark or darker at 6:30 for dinner.

No. My mom was suppose to arrive the day before and her plane had technical problems so they canceled the flight. So she had to fly to Atlanta and the next day (wedding day) fly to jamaica. So we stalled the wedding waiting for my mom. Chandlyn held it for me! I did wait in my room but it was geting later and later so she had me come to the lobby and I waited around the corner until my mom ran through the lobby!

Here's a link to a website that shows the times for sunrises and sunsets. It's set up for Kingston, Jamaica, which is probably close enough to give you an approximate time. You can select the date.

Looks like the sunset on Oct 31, 2008 is at 5:35pm.

  • 2 weeks later...

Our wedding was at 11 am but I wanted sunset pictures all week, but everytime the sun was setting we were so busy doing something that we were not ready. Anyway, one thing is that the sun sets behind the resort in the mountains. But the sky is still beautiful over the ocean.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
