Delivery of OOT Bags?

Recommended Posts

When are you guys handing out your OOT/Welcome bags?

My guests are staying at various places. At first I had this great idea to leave bags with each hotel so as people check in they receive their bags. Now I think that would be a logistical nightmare as I can't count on 10 different hotels to remember to do this on a guest by guest basis.

I could give them out at our welcome dinner, but some guests are arriving a few days before that. If they've been there for days already, I'm thinking the welcome bag would be a little late.

Should I just give them to people as I see them before the welcome dinner, then bring the remaining bags to the dinner for people I haven't seen yet?

How are you handling this?

All of our guests are staying at our resort so I'm going to give them to them as I see them and I've also set up a welcome breakfast and we'll hand out our OOT bags to anyone who hasn't gotten theirs yet then.

I might see if I can get a list of our guests room #'s and deliver them to their rooms as they arrive but don't know how feasible that will be.

I was just gonna have the hotel do it for me, but then I realized that they have to be put together after we get there! And besides that, All of our guests are arriving the same day we are! So, I guess I'm like Jilly and will try to get a room list and deliver them myself, or maybe even leave them at the front desk and have them go and get them....?

i made a spreadsheet of when everyone was coming and delivered them to the front desk to be given at checkin but when your guests are staying all over the place, that can be a problem...

can you do a spreadsheet to see when most guests are comig...if most are coming right before the welcome dinner you can give most of your OOT bags then, but for the few that are early, deliver them...

these are both good points that i'll keep in mind.. thanks.

My guests are staying at different hotels too. But, the ones that are staying at the same hotel and arriving the same day. I plan on delivering them to the hotels and if someone hasn't arrived, leave their bag with friends/relatives to give them. For those who are arriving on Friday, I'm handing them out at the welcome dinner. I know it's going to be a headache trying to deliver them, but I think it will be a nice welcome to those who've traveled so far.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
