Delivery of OOT Bags?

The only problem may be that people will have fled their rooms and run to the beach....

Thats what we are planning on doing as well. We are all arriving on the same flight and it will take awhile to assemble the bags. Hopefully everyone will stay in their room long enough to deliver, and if not we may have to hunt them down lol!

I'm getting married on a cruise ship and other cruise ship brides have told me that the cruise line will deliver the bags to the guests rooms for $1 per bag.. I really hope this is true as I really want the bag to be a little 'surprise' in their rooms! The groomsmen and bridesmaids bags will probably be the same as everyones but planning to put their gifts (like flasks or whatever I get) in their bag

I don't think it would be tacky, but as you are usually only allowed one piece of carry-on luggage, it may be an added item that your guests aren't expecting! You just wouldn't want your guests to be stressed out and trying to pack them into their luggage in the middle of the airport!

I was thinking of it more as a purse (I've usually brought a purse and a carry-on).  What do you think?  Too much havoc/stress for the guests?  How is everyone else transporting their OOT bags?

You might want to prewarn your guest then if you are thinking of it as a purse as most females I know always carry a purse.

I agree with JayKay!  If I wasn't pre-warned I would arrive at the airport with my purse and carry on.  Then I would have to worry about either packing my carry on into my luggage or my OOT bag, as I wouldn't likely part with my purse.  If you warn your guests, then they might be able to accommodate it.  You would just have to make sure there are no water guns or liquids/gels in your OOT bag (which would eliminate sunscreen, aloe vera, purell, etc.)

We're packing everything into a separate suitcase then assembling them when we arrive.  I think it will be a nice surprise for guests right after they check in!

Great tips ladies, thank you!

BusyBee, thanks for explaining how you're packing them.  I think I will do the same thing now too.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
