Wedding Day Timeline

Recommended Posts

Hi girls.. need your help with this one. Rebecca thank you in advance for all your suggestions and your timeline info.. Maye and I have been working on getting my timeline set for our big day. She suggested having the fire dancers perform before our first dance.. I think I would rather have them towards the end of the night, but before my photographer/video guys leave. I think I'm being a bit weird going to the quarter hour and I understand this isn't exact, but I'd like to have something set so it isn't all nilly-willy that day and we're rushed to get it all in.

Maye also suggested having the cake and toast all within the same 45 minutes alloted for dinner. Won't people be too stuffed just having dinner to even look at cake? I'm not a big cake person, but if I'm spending money on it, I would like to people to be able to enjoy it. We're only have 35-40 guests. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Angela,

This isnt really the answer to your questions, but are you 100% sure that is the sunset time? I would just double check because I got married on Nov 11th and I think the sunset was at 5:37. I don't remember when daylight savings ends though. Anyway, I do wish my ceremony had been about 30 mins earlier because the light goes away quickly....

Also, I think it's fine to do the toasts and cake right after dinner (maybe you can have 1 hour instead of 45 mins?). It's easier than letting people dance and then making them all sit down again and pay attention. They can take their time eating cake if they are full?

Anyway, I dunno if this is helpful...I think the firedancers would be fine later on in the night like you are thinking but since I didnt have them I don't really know....

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
