amyh's planning galore!

Recommended Posts

Finally, my turn has come! I joined the forum in Oct. 2006 (the same time as Ann and Christine, who both have beautiful little girls!) and I have no idea if it wasnâ€t for the forum, I think I wouldâ€ve cancelled my DW upon planning!

I will try to update this thread before I leave, but I am running out of time and I am not sure if I will have time to post those last minute details.

Again forgive me for the terrible camera phone pics. Hans and I are planning to purchase a camera tomorrow!

Here goes!

We also purchased a tie and shirt from Macyâ€s. Suit is from Downtown L.A.

Again, I donâ€t have a pick of the entire Bestmen attire, but this is the tie they will be wearing (from Macyâ€s) (they will change into guayaveras and throw on flip flops for the reception. I also purchased fedora type hats for them to stand out)

My MOHs got their dresses made and I have only had a chance to see three and only have this one pic. They are all different, but they all have the same bottom portion.

My FG dresses were also made. I am in love with them! The top is made from Alecon lace (nicer than mine) which was marked $45 per yard! I had to purchase 4.5, but the man was confused and charged me $45 for all of it plus a %10 discount for being “niceâ€. I love how it sort of mimics the top of my dress.

My ring bearer, the tie was purchased through Etsy, suit purchased at Ross. (Excuse is expression, he was told to smile for the camera)

I came across this image and thought it would be a great alternative to a guest book. I plan to assign this to my cousins†teen kids. All they need is a camera and instructions!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
