Hope that helps!

Anyone know whether legal civil ceremonies can be held on SATURDAYs?

It should be fine, all the dates I was given were monday to sat. If you think about it Sunday is the only day you can't get married legally most places - you certainly can't in the uk.

Hi All,

Hope you are well. I too am waiting for a response from the WC at Dreams!! I suspect they are extremely busy just now and that is why they are not getting back in touch with us as quickly as we would like.

Does anyone have the menu details for the reception I cannot find them anywhere, sorry to be a pain!!!

Oh and I have also been trying to find out about taking own ipod and what is involved!!!

Thanks

Tracy

who the heck knows!?!?! hahahahahahaha LMAO! we are so screwed up! all our switching around, checking out other places, and whatnot -- one minute it's a cruise, the next it's somewhere in riviera maya, and now we've come full circle back to dreams because of the kids stay free thing! (i knew i'd get my way in the end! i've always been a brat like that!)

we are finally (seriously!) trying to get the 28th or 29th now, so that most of our guests (and my fiance) won't need to take off work/school one of the weekdays (memorial day). memorial day is a paid holiday (for most) in the US, but is not a holiday in mexico, so we should be good getting our 4 days in to be legal! yay!

i'm *finally* getting that excited/nervous feeling ... we could actually be BOOKING something this week!!! FINALLY!!! (we've been engaged over a year already and it's getting really old telling people we don't have a date set yet!)

as for the ipod we were going to do that but you either have to bring your own docking station down which we dont have so we would have to buy that or rent there equipment wich you also have to rent for the ceremony if you want to be able to hear it so with all the renting its almost the same as just getting the dj so we went with the dj so we would not have to worry

yeah, we had a saturday wedding booked & I learned that. So it was just another thing tipping me over to doing it legal in the US first. So now our certificate says june 13th, but we will celebrate june 21st. Really though it doesn't matter to me. I'm so happy we did it legal in the states.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
