I have a round stone too! and I love it.

People who are unhappy in their own relationships and in other parts of their lives perhaps make themselves feel better by behaving this way.

And those ladies who needed "the perfect ring" before they were allowed to even be proposed to shgoudl consider finding someone else - it seem the BF/FI isn't as important as the ring.

Besides loving my ring anyway what means the most is that it came from my FI. We picked out the setting together and he bought the stone. The fact that he would spend so much money (I don't actually know how much it was because I had to leave the store whenever he talked about $$) on ME and BEING WITH ME makes it the most precious ring in the world... sigh... My FI is out of town and I am clearly missing him and becoming all sentimental!

you know everyone has to have what they are comfortable with, my would have loved to have a round cut, my FI and I made a compromise with that one. Who cares what others say, its something between you and your FI. Its a symbol of your love and your love is not superficial its real and beautiful.

Oh god, dont even listen to other people. Some people are so darn rude. I would never even think to ask another women anything like that. A nice congratulations would be good enough I would think. Some people just dont get it.

by the way your ring is buetifull. :)

I think your ring is absolutely beautiful...I also have a round brilliant cut diamond and I love it and besides it is the diamond that sparkles the most and is more expensive than the others...people are just so petty and get jealous so easily their obviously so unhappy in their lives about something that they have to put others down

Please dont let comments like that matter, it's just a ring it's not going to determine your happiness and how happy the two of you are going to be...yes it's nice to have a pretty ring but if you love it than someone elses opinion shouldn't matter

LOL,, Ok Jen I'll tell my story.. However please know everyone that If you have a ring like this (and I don't recall if anyone does) please don't be offended to what I'm about to say.

Cain's aunt got engaged about 3 months prior to me, she thinks her ring is the best thing ever created. Now for her I'm happy that she's happy... But fast forward 3 months to when Cain and I got engaged, she seen my ring for the first time and said "I like my better".. I had to fight keeping my claws in and not saying something to her.... Her E-ring is a right hand ring, it has 4 quarter carat diamonds that make up the top stone, and because of the setting it "looks" bigger then it actually is. Plus her ring size if a 3 1/2 so the thing looks huge on her... But the ring only cost them $1700.00. Now again I'm glad she likes her ring, but who is she to tell others that their ring isn't as nice when in all actually my ring is worth much more then hers. (see told you it would sound like I was a b*tch)

I love my ring, and I know there will always be people out there with less expense ones and people with more expense ones. WHO CARES.. What's important is that the person who is wearing the ring likes it. Shoot when I got engaged the first time (when I was 19) I was proposed to with a 1/4 carat ring on a plain band. I was married for 5 years before it was upgraded, but that's all he could afford and I wore it with pride. Some people are so flippin competitive that they try to make you feel less of a person if you don't have something like thiers....

Ok,, sorry didn't mean to make this a rant,

Ditto to what everyone else has said. Your ring is beautiful and they are just rude! Some people have no tact whatsoever. I've had comments like that as well. Don't let it get to you. At the end of the day, it's not important what kind of ring you have, but the committment you all will make and the love you all will share.

Hahahaha!!! Yay, thanks for sharing :) And I don't think that makes you sound like a b*tch at all! It would take alot more for me to consider you a B*tch....and by the way....EWWWW how RUDE!

I have a friend that got engaged recently....(same one that started booking places before the proposal!) but anyway....she actually told us that her diamond doesn't sparkle because she was only concerned with the size and not anything else....she just said "This is how much he can spend...how big of a diamond can we get for thathuh.gif" Doesn't make sense to me, but some things are more important than others to different people....who knows!!!

Totally agree with you there.

on a side note - if anyone is a Grey's Anatomy fan - this is the exact scenario that happened on the last episode. Someone made a comment that very small diamonds are sweet. Very passive aggressive (and uncalled for)

I also hate it when people demand to see the ring - or when they haven't seen it yet, ask if its big. Does it matter? My FI picked out a ring he loved and for that reason alone, I adore it

Don't even get me started on this girl! Yeah, she pretty much had his testicles removed a long time ago...she has them in a jar in the trunk of her Mercedes!!! I'm so bad.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
