kathi, you know the situation with my family not coming and my sister backing out as MOH 3 months before the wedding. i have no words of wisdom here for you that havent already been shared by others, but i am sending a big hug your way. she shoulda had the decency to tell you herself that she wasnt coming, and not have put off you finding out until the day before you're supposed to go get her dress.

OK so here is the story...

I got text message from my sister this morning ( she didn't know my mom told me last night) She has a valid reason for not coming. I don't really want to get into her personal info but she has known for over a week. I guess she just didn't want to upset me, but come on how are you going to tell me the day we are going to buy her dress lol. She and my mother are coming today because I am taking my dress in (it doesn't quite zip up now that I have boobs) I am going to have to figure out if it can be let out or find a new dress. Thanks for the support girls. I really don't know how I would deal with this whole wedding without you. I love the idea of packing party Rebecca. I will involve her somehow and still get her a bridesmaid present. It really is out of her hands and she still wants to be a part of all the planning and parties. Maybe some miracle will happen and she will be able to come. I'm not counting on her for a bridesmaid but I would still love for her to be there.

As for the rest of my family. It is not a money issue just a lazy issue. My Dad has his ass so far up his gf's ass he doesn't have much time for anyone it seems. I am happy for him but it just is so NOT like him to be so distant. I talked to them both on my birthday and they said they are going. I haven't talked to them since but they may have already got their passports. As for my Mom, SIGH she is the worst procrastinator I have ever met. It is a miracle I am as organized and on the ball as I am. With my little brother it is a money issue and I am going to help him as part of his graduation present. I will keep you guys updated. Thanks again!

Oh I am so sorry to hear that your sister can not come and the rest of your family has not booked. You should talk to you mom and express how you feel and if she is planning on going just book already so its less for you to worry about, your job is too relax and have a blast!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
