I was a real pirate of the Caribbean. Greg & I went on a cruise a few years ago with some friends to the Caribbean. One of our stops was St. Thomas. His friend lives on St. John so he picked us up and took us out on this lil boat. He told us that he wanted to take us to this little beautiful island called Jost Van Dyke in the British Virgin Islands. The only problem is, with it being in the BVI, we'd need our passports which none of us had on us. He's like,"Ahh Customs never comes around but if they do, let me handle it." I felt jinxed lol We made it to Jost Van Dyke which is literally paradise on earth.. It was hot, we started drinking heavily at 8:30am lol By the time we left it was SCORCHING hot and all we had was Jager. I chugged it.. (you know where my night ended..praying to the gods). Anyways.. as we're sailing back to St. John..WASTED OFF OUR ASSSSES.. we decided the water was too nice not to jump in. Not even 5 minutes later, Customs comes! They tied their boat to ours and took Greg's friend onto their boat and even handcuffed him. They questioned him for like 20 minutes. I actually have all of this on video which I tucked behind my butt..I needed to show the people back at home LOL I was so drunk I didn't take it as serious as I should have. We all nearly got arrested.. IMAGINE?! OMG. They shook us down for cash.. $300 was all we were able to come up with. They gave my FI a scroll saying he was now the captain of the vessel since he was (in their eyes) the least wasted one of all of us lmao and they let us go.

Here's my FI driving away from Customs.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
