Dreams Cancun Brides/Tripadvisor Reviews

Recommended Posts

I don't know if any of you other Dreams Cancun brides go to tripadvisor.com or not but I occassionally check their reviews and I have to admit sometimes it scares me!!! My FI tells me that some people just like to complain but when I read about the bad stuff I get worried that things will go wrong. Maybe I just need some reassurancehuh.gif Thanks ahead of time

I take reviews with a grain of salt, think about it when you are mad about something don't you want to tell others so they don't have to go through what you did. But how often to you compliment something or someone when you are happy with a service.

I was on tripadvisor the other day looking at pics & I read a few reviews and all of the recent ones I read were really good. But I agree that you can't totally rely on the reviews because some people are much harder to please than others, and one persons opinion of good food, may not be the same as anothers.

I've read more good than bad reviews, so I try not to let it worry me too much

I agree! I will admit that I was a little worried at first considering that we are getting married there 2, but I just stopped reading the reviews for a while! I can say that there were a heck of a lot more possitive reviews than negative! Even if you go and read all of the reviews for EDR, there ARE some negative ones, but have heard nothing but great things from everyone on this board! People might be a little more picky than us, and some people are just plain high maintenance!!!! I wouldn't worry about it....after all, it's your special day!

Don't listen to those negative reviews. I was there and I LOVED it!!! and almost everyone who came with me loved it except for my sister who is a complainer... So those people who wrote negative reviews are like my sister who just like to complain about everything. The resort is beautiful, the food is very good, the wedding gazebo is beautiful! I had people asking me how I ended up picking this resort, they absolutely LOVED it! So don't worry, everything will be great!

  • 1 year later...

Yeah don't worry about the reviews...as long as more positives than the negative ones....sheesh

people just expect too much...are they forgetting that what they pay for is half goes to airfare and taxes and yet people expect 4 seasons service which is $500 a night, the cheapest room...no food and drinks.

Plus,it's what you make of the situation. LAWS OF ATTRACTION

It's not just that resort, it's like that for all resorts. There are so so many complainers who write reviews, it's crazy. Many people will make such a big deal about the smallest little thing. I still read all the reviews but I barely listen to what the negative ones say anymore because I find them to be so inaccurate.

Trip advisor is based on opinions and it gives those who LOVE to complain a place to do so. I think it should be read with an open mind. Just remember that things that bother some may not bother others. I saw a lot of complaints about the pool being too small or the lack of chairs available during the day..WELL DAHHH! This should be realized before you book if you do a little research. If that's all I have to worry about then sign me up!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
