Getting married on your birthday...

I wouldn't do it but hey you do what you want.

My friend just got married on her birthday and she was happy about it. The only reason I wouldn't is because I've been married before and if I'd got married on my birthday then i'd have had miserable ones every since lol

I'm not expecting FI to remember our wedding date either, he never remembers anything unless I shout it at him several hundred times lmao

We are getting married on Joe's bday. I at first didnt want too, but it was the only day available for the church and receptiona hall we wanted, we're having traditional wedding for those who duno, so we booked it. At first was questioning it, thinking it was a bad idea, but really it's totally not! And Joe's point of view- he loved it. He was so excited and thought it was the best thing ever. So, I think it's totally cool. More gifts for you!!!!!!! hahahaha

my wedding/anniversary is a little less than two weeks before my b-day. And while I don't hate it....I don't love it. I mean I LOVE when my anniversary is (Cinco de Mayo!!!) but I always feel bad/guilty about having another celebration just two weeks later. It just makes me feel weird and/or greedy or something. But I don't really want to ignore my b-day so we just kind of make it work.

i think it's all a matter of personal choice. Dean and I are getting married on Valentine's Day. For some it might seem like I am getting cheated out of an anniversary AND V-day gift, but Dean & I have never done a big V-day anyways, so I actually look at it as an upgrade. Now my Vday will be Extra special. So you could have an extra special bday for the rest of your life :)

I personally wouldn't do it. I also got engaged on my birthday, and while we planned to celebrate our 1 year engagement anniversary this year that didn't happen - my bday came first, of course cheesy.gif We are getting married on May 24th and my bday is June 10th so while they will be close I am so glad that it's not ON my bday! I definitely want to be able to have two separate celebrations.

We got legally married on my birthday, then had the wedding a few weeks later (on my parents' anniversary). It's the perfect choice for me, because we only plan to celebrate the wedding anniversary, but can privately celebrate our legal anniversary as we celebrate my birthday!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
