Dreams CABO or Dreams CANCUN?

Recommended Posts

I have been spending the last 2 days reading this site! I am torn between Dreams Cabo and Cancun. Are there any Brides out there who had to make the same choice? what are some of the pros and cons. I do like that cancun is swimmable...but they are both gorgeous. I havent been to Mexico....

HELP!

PS. my wedding will be small (50 or less).

in MAY/09

things that are important to me are:

everyone having laid back fun

awesome pools /ocean fun

not TOO much of a party (spring break) place

a good coordinator! (still researching!)

Thanks Everyone!

You can post wherever you want..I am actually having the same problem! My mom and I are planning on taking a trip there in the next couple weeks to check out both Dreams Cabo and Cancun, I will for sure post pics...Dreams Cancun is where the beach is at, Dreams Cabo does not have a swimmable one, you have to walk to one, Dreams Cancun has that classic blue water...that is about all I know. I spoke to a photographer who is super popular with brides on this site and he said the Dreams Resorts do not attract spring breakers at all, so you don't have to worry about that....Have you set a date yet? I am thinking May 09 as well..

One more thing, I have read HUNDREDS of bride reviews on this site, since i found BDW site this is pretty much all I have done, which is not good for my job....as I sit at my desk all day and do wedding stuff. I have heard all GREAT things about wedding coordinators at both Dreams Resorts, you will probably read the same.

That is so crazy! That is exactly when we were thinking! I am having doubts because it is a HOliday weekend and some people on here have said that flights will be more expensive, etc...what do you think?

i know...but then people might have that extra day off from work which means they could maybe stay an extra day? or we could do it on the sunday instead....i guess i need to talk to a travel agent -you're right -a huge price difference for guests would be awful

This may start to read a little something like a famous beer commercial from the eightees:

Cabo, CANCUN, CABO,... Cancun..., CABO, CANCUN..., well you get the picture.

I think posting in both places would give you a good perspective on different reasons from those who prefer one over the other. My recommendation is to start to make a list of the pros and cons of both to help you come to a decision.

Have Fun Planning Your Special Day,

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
