I think it sounds like your dogs have a great life. They don't have to worry about their next meal and they have company (each other and you). Not all dogs can be in the house, especially 70 lb dogs and wouldn't animals rather be outside if possible? My dogs are inside, but I can see why many should be outside.

Maybe the main point here is that you feel you are doing your best and you should ignore other people's opinions. Maybe they have too much free time and should mind their own business. Say thanks, I'm doing the best I can and I think it's enough.

I grew up in the country, and my grandparents all live on a farm. There are just some dogs that don't belong inside. Of course they were always brought them in for tornadoes or ice storms or hot days, but the dogs hated it! Plus, some of the dogs preferred to hang out with the cows. Now our Boston Terriers, on the other hand, were inside dogs all the way. It really depends on the dog and the situation.

Exactly. My grandparents always had sheep dogs- they slept with the sheep and guarded them from predators. They loved the outdoors and when they had to come in for anything, you could see they longed to be back out with their "flock." I think they really enjoyed doing their job.

I don't think your a bad mom at all. I personally have inside dogs, but I couldn't imagine anyone would leave their 4 lb dog out at night. :) I always wanted pets I could bring in the house, so that's more of a reason for us to have our smaller breeds. However, I think you are considerate of your babies so I highly doubt they are being mistreated. You can tell when animals are upset and if yours seem happy, I'm sure they are.

I don't think it makes you a bad mommy. Everyone is different. I have two dogs and I just couldn't leave them outside. But, some people think I'm strange. I built a 4-bdr house a couple years ago for my son and I. My dogs (cockerspaniel and a lab/border collie mix that looks more like a lab) have there own room with a queen size bed and tv! I leave the tv on the animal planet or cartoon network when I leave the house. Some may say that is going to far!! Oh well!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
